Certificate by Robert, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, that whereas John Rosamund, long before the statute of mortmain, granted to Eustace, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity half a marc yearly rent issuing from land with houses in the parish of St. Edmund by Graschirche, which land with houses the King by letters patent granted to the rector and parishioners of St. Michael's Cornhill towards the support of St. Anne's fraternity in that church, whereupon the said prior impleaded Sir Thomas Whithed, rector of St. Michael's, and Sir John Whitby, rector of St. Mary of Abbechirche in Candelwykstrete, Robert Lardner, and Thomas Baldok, masters of the said fraternity; the controversy has been settled by the defendants paying the prior of Holy Trinity 20s. for all costs and arrears, and undertaking to pay him the said half marc yearly rent hereafter. As to the 30 marcs she has given her son John on his departure for the Holy Land, if he return safe and sound she shall not keep him out of the premises on their account: and if he die before returning, his next heir shall satisfy her that amount before entering on the premises.
