PREFACE.
The present volume is the sixth instalment of a Catalogue of all the Ancient Deeds preserved in the Public Record Office. It deals with Nos. 3765 to 8060 of the C Series, consisting of deeds from the Chancery.
The abstracts were made by Mr. J. B. W. Chapman, M.A. and the proofs revised by Messrs. A. S. Maskelyne and H. E. Headlam, all of this department. The Index has been compiled by Mr. J. J. O'Reilly, M.A. also of this Department.
