Joan daughter of Walter de Chesewyk of Kyngeston, acknowledges that she owes to John Syward of London, 'stokfisshemonger,' 50l.; to be levied, in default of payment, of her lands and chattels in co. Surrey.
Cancelled on payment.
John Baroncell and John Junctyn acknowledge for themselves and their fellows, merchants of the society of the Peruzzi, that they owe to Hugh de Glaumvill, receiver of Queen Philippa, 800l.; to be levied, etc. in the city of London.
Enrolment of grant by John de Bradele of Aulton, to Richard, bishop of London, of a messuage, 160 acres of land, 10 acres of meadow, 10 acres of pasture, 10 acres of wood and 20s. of rent in Estworldham, Westworldham and Aulton. Witnesses: Sir Thomas de Norton, Sir Robert de Popham, knights, Roland de Wykford, Richard de Wyndesores, Robert Marcaunt, Thomas de Westcote, William de Staunford, John de Rutherfeld, John de Petresfeld, Richard le Beel. Dated at London, on Sunday before Michaelmas, 12 Edward III.
Memorandum that John came into chancery at the New Temple, London, on 19 December, and acknowledged the preceding charter.
Peter Guernery of Florence puts in his place Ascelin Simonet and Bindus Gile, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 200l. made to him in chancery by brother John, abbot of Vaudey.—Thomas de Evesham received the attorney.
Enrolment of acknowledgment of receipt by Thomas de Evesham, clerk, general attorney of John de Stretford, archbishop of Canterbury, during his absence, on 24 December, in the presence of the chancellor, from Alice, late the wife of Roger Beler, of 50l. in part payment of 100l. which she acknowledged that she owed to the archbishop. Witnesses: Sir John de Sancto Paulo, keeper of the chancery rolls, Sir Michael de Wath, Sir Thomas de Bamburgh, Sir Thomas de Brayton, Sir Thomas de Sibthorp, Sir Thomas de Cotyngham, Sir Walter, son of Walter Prest, of Melton Moubray, of co. Leicester, and Sir Ralph Burgeys of the same. Dated at London, on the day aforesaid.
Memorandum that Thomas came into chancery in the church of St. Andrew, Holebourn, London, on the said 24 December, and acknowledged the preceding letters.

John Squyter of Edelmeton, acknowledges that he owes to William de Norton, of London, goldsmith (orfeure), 6l.; to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in co. Middlesex.
Richard atte Ster of London acknowledges that he owes to Theobald Poleyn of Luketon, 4l.; to be levied, etc. in the city of London.
William de Wyttresham puts in his place Walter de Notyngham, clerk, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 150l. made to him in chancery by John atte Gate.—Thomas de Baumburgh received the attorney.

Berkhampstead.
To J. archbishop of Canterbury, or to his vicar-general during his absence. Summons to attend a parliament at Westminster on the morrow of the Purification next, to which day the king has prorogued the parliament previously summoned at Westminster on the morrow of Hilary next, warning the chapter of Christ Church, Canterbury, the archdeacons and all the clergy of the diocese to attend the said parliament, the prior and archdeacons in person, and the chapter and clergy by their proctors.
