Jan. 16.
Melrose.
To the sheriff of Northampton. Order to pay to John Dengayne, banneret, appointed with Robert Parvyng, the chancellor, and Master John de Thoresby to hear and determine the trespasses and excesses committed by the king's ministers and others in that county, 19 marks for 19 days when he has been attendant upon the premises, to wit, from 10 December last to the 21st of that month and from 9 January following until the 15th of that month, inclusive, of the fines and amercements adjudged before him and his fellows, in accordance with the ordinance for the payment of daily wages to such justices, to wit, to each earl, 2 marks; to each baron, 20s.; to each banneret, 1 mark; to each knight or clerk ½ mark and to each serjeant, 5s., of the said fines etc. for every day when they should be attendant upon the premises. By p.s.
The like to the same sheriff to pay 11 marks to Master John de Thoresby for 22 days, to wit from 10 December last to the 24th of that month and from 9 January following to the 15th of that month inclusive.

Jan. 19.
Melrose.
The like to the sheriff of Bedford to pay to the same Master John, appointed with the same Robert and John to hear and determine such trespasses in co. Bedford, 5 marks for 10 days, to wit, from 2 January last to the 8th of that month and from 16 January following to the 18th of that month inclusive. By the same writ.
The like to the same sheriff to pay to John Dengayne 8 marks for 8 days, to wit from 2 January last to the 8th of that month and for the 16th day of that month. By the same writ.
Jan. 16.
Melrose.
To the sheriff of Northampton. Like order to pay to Robert Parvyng, the chancellor, appointed chief justice for such trespasses in that county with John Dengayne and Master John de Thoresby, 22 marks for 22 days to wit, from 10 December last to the 24th of that month and from 9 January following to the 15th day inclusive, as the king granted him 1 mark a day while he should be attendant upon the matter, because he is chancellor and chief justice in that session.

The like to the sheriff of Bedford to pay Robert, appointed justice in that county with John and John, 10 marks for 10 days, to wit, from 2 January last to the 8th day of that month and from the 16th to the 18th day inclusive. By the same writ.
