Indenture of defeasance between William Sandes, grocer of London, on the one part, and John Terry of Bedford on the other. Witnesses that although the said John by charter gave and confirmed to William all his tenements called 'Chapman's Place' situate in St. Paul's parish Bedford, now occupied by Richard Andrewe of Bedford, to be held in capital demesne as of fee etc. yet William grants on behalf of himself and his heirs that if John Terry pay him or his attorney 13l. in St. Thomas Acon church London at Michaelmas next, then he will refeoff the said John in the above tenement, and will suffer him, his heirs or assigns, to enjoy all profits and revenues thereof without impeachment, to which indenture each party has set his seal.
