Sept. 16.
Westminster.
John abbot of St. Mary Fountains co. York, to the king. Recognisance for 2,000l., to be levied etc. of his lands and chattels and church goods in Yorkshire.
Condition, that all his life he shall be loyal liege subject to the king and his heirs, henceforward obeying them in all things wherein a true man of religion is bound to obey.
Vacated, as appears in a schedule attached.

This recognisance cancelled, for that on 7 February, 49 Henry VI, the first year of his restoration, that king by writ of privy seal, addresed to William Morland his clerk then keeper of the chancery rolls and remaining upon the chancery file for that year, for causes and considerations him specially moving did command the said William to cancel the same and the condition.
Thomas Wryght citizen and tailor of London, to Richard Sutton, tailor, John Jacowe scrivener and Thomas Spenser 'fuller' citizens of London, their executors and assigns. Gift of all his goods and chattels in the city and suburbs of London and elsewhere within the realm, and all debts to him due; and in name of possession he has delivered to them one gold ring. Dated 7 November, 39 Henry VI.
