William Mountford knight and Edmund Mountford esquire, to John le Veell and Alice, his wife, their heirs and assigns. Gift with confirmation by charter of his manor of Tortworth co. Gloucester with all services of free tenants and niefs and all lands and tenements, meadows, pastures, hedges, waters and woods in Tortworth and the advowson of the church, to be held by the said John and Alice in capital demesne as of fee etc. with remainder to the right heirs of the aforesaid John le Veel in perpetuity. Witnesses: John Dornoy of Cromhale, John Sley, Thomas Harold, Thomas Yonge and Hugh Rodman. Dated Tortworth, 20 October, 31 Henry VI.
Letter of attorney by the aforesaid William and Edmund Mountford, appointing John Nyter and Richard Tyler as their attorneys etc. to convey seisin of the manor of Tortworth to John le Veell and Alice his wife. Dated 20 October, 31 Henry VI.
