John Trafford and Thomas Pylkyngton knights, to John bishop of Coventry and Lichfield. Bond in 500 marks, payable at Christmas or levied etc. in Cheshire etc.
Condition, that if the said John Trafford abstain from carnal intercourse in every suspected place with one Margery Platte, and remove her from his society and knowledge, so that he receive back his own wife, and adhere to her conjugally, treating her with that affection that he should show: and if he some Sunday before Easter come to Lichfield cathedral, bearing a candle alight in his hand according to custom and recite before the hebdomaries in the vulgar tongue. 'Sirs it is not unknown to you how I have offended God in my living, whereof I am right sorry and cry God mercy. And I beseech you all to pray for me, and none of you to take example of me to do like offence in time to come,' and present his candle at the shrine of St. Chad in Lichfield: and similarly on Sundays at the churches of Mamcestre and Wylmeslowe, and appear before the bishop or his deputy ready to carry out his judgement without any excuse or contradiction, then this bond shall be voided etc. English.

Memorandum, that on 11 November this year, Roger Coton delivered to Sir Geoffrey Gate a certain release whose tenor is written in the Star Chamber at Westminster under name of Anthony earl Ryvers as his deed, as the said Roger, William Alyngton and Andrew Dymock then and there asserted the same in presence of the keeper of the privy seal, Sir Thomas Mongomery.

Memorandum of the delivery for execution of a writ dated 3 February, 15 Edward IV, to William Heed, deputy of the sheriff of Sussex, tested at Westminster, directing the sheriff to grant the king's peace to John Rye of Horsham and Thomas Rye of Thakeham and to postpone the next eyre against them, since they are free men and unjustly vexed by Richard Farnfold clerk who claims that they are his serfs: and they have given the king as security Richard Leukenore esquire of Grenestede and John Sanden, dyer of Cranebroke co. Kent, to prove their liberty.

Memorandum of the delivery for execution of a writ dated 10 February, 15 Edward IV, to Christopher Hanyngton, deputy of the sheriff of Cornwall, tested at Westminster, directing the sheriff to attach the bodies of Henry Bodrugan and John Beaumond of Bodrugan, John Deveok of Tewethe, John Trevanyan of Carehaces and John Penfoun of Penfoun esquires of Cornwall, if they be laymen, reciting a recognisance made on 14 April, 13 Edward IV, before Ralph Verney, mayor of the staple of Westminster, to William Tayllour knight, alderman of London, for 100l., payable at that date, but not yet discharged; and to hold them in prison, till the same be paid, causing a valuation to be made of their lands and chattels, to be seised into the king's hands for livery to the said Sir William, certifying the due execution of the same to the king in chancery.

Cancelled because the said Joan acknowledged herself satisfied. 1 December, this year (in margin).
