Indenture between John Savery, William Wake and William Shelton on the one part, and Roger and John Salyng of Merton and John Salyng of Stanford Ryvers on the other part, whereby Roger, John and John have granted to John, William and William, their heirs and assigns, the foresaid manors of Lytelbury and Rowenhoo, which lands were conveyed to Roger and John Salyng from St. John Baptist day, 4 Edward IV, for a period of ten years at an annual rent of 10l.: to hold the same as long as they carry out the terms of the above agreement; and with the usual clause of distress should they fail to do so: further should Roger Salyng etc. or their assigns make or change any payment otherwise than in the parish of St. Mary Colchirche London, this change shall be invalid. Condition, that if the said John de Canale etc. shall abide and perform the award of the king and two of his council touching a complaint of William Cowper, Richard Busshebury, Richard Walker, John Ward and John Fynche, brought against them in the king's court, this recognisance shall be voided.
