Norhampton late of William Croyser knight, the manor of Sutton with the hamlets of Potton, Stratton and Holme co. Bedford, the manor of Briddesgreve co. Surrey, and manor of Savoy co. Middlesex, the manors of Ebboth and of Hodnake by Monemouthe in Suthwales, all their lands in Ettelow and the manor of Rye co. Gloucester, and the manor of Chepynglambourne co. Berkshire, all which with the knights' fees, advowsons, liberties etc. thereto pertaining or thereupon had and used by authority and grant of king and parliament, and all other properties, profits etc. whatsoever under what names or terms soever they be called, or in time to come may or ought to be, the archbishop and the others, and Richard late bishop of Norwich, Edward late duke of York, Thomas earl of Arundell, Henry Lescrope, Roger Leche, John Philipp knights and Hugh Mortymer, all now deceased, had by gift of the king to them, their heirs and assigns, and the manor of Wardyngton co. Bukingham which was held for life by Nicholas Bradshawe now deceased with remainder to the king, and by virtue of his grant did remain to the archbishop and the others; also of the reversions of the manor of Bukby co. Norhampton, whereof Thomas duke of Clarence and Margaret his wife are tenants for life of the said Margaret, and of the manor of Asperton and Stretton co. Hereforde, whereof Katherine who was wife of Roger Leche knight is tenant for life with remainder by virtue of the king's grant to the archbishop and the others, their heirs and assigns. Proviso that, if the king shall die within the term aforesaid, the estate in all the premises hereby made shall cease, and it shall be lawful for the archbishop and the others, or those who shall overlive him, or for their assigns, then or at the end of the said term straightway to enter and hold the same in their first estate without impeachment or let of his heirs or assigns or of others whatsoever, and without suing the same out of the hands of his heirs or assigns or of any other; and renunciation by the king, of his particular knowledge and mere motion, of all other title, claim or right in the premises which does or in time to come may vest in him, his heirs or assigns save by virtue of this demise. Suthampton, the castle, manor and honour of Troubrigge, the manors of Berwyk, Esterton, Everley, Colyngbourne and Aldebourne and lands in the forest of Braden co. Wiltesir with the wood there, the manors of Hungerforde, Esgarston and Staunden co. Berkshire, the castle and manor of Bolyngbroke, the manors of Stepynge, Ingoldmeles, 'Wath Halle,' Sutton in Holande, Wadyngton, Saltfleteby, Waynflete, Wrangle and Thoresby with the hamlet of Scarthowe, the manors of Belchesforde and Donyngton, the marsh of Bolyngbroke called 'Est Fen' and 'West Fen,' an enclosed several marsh by Boston called the Fryth, and lands in Alkebarowe co. Lincoln, the manors of Aylesham, Wyghton, Fakenham, Snetesham, Gymyngham, Tunstede and Thetforde, 28l. 6s. 8d. fee farm of the prior and convent of monks of Thetforde, the manor of Methewolde with lands by Methewolde called Rodmere, the hundreds of 'North Erpyngham,' Gallowe and 'Brothercrosse' co. Norffolk, the manor of Soham co. Cantebrigge, the manor of Bradforde, and the fee farm of 200 marks a year which the abbot and convent of St. Mary York pay the archbishop etc. for the manor of Whitgyft co. York, the manors of Rodley and Mynstreworth co. Gloucester, the castle, manor and honour of Tykhulle with the manors of Laghton, Gryngley and Wheteley cos. York and Notyngham and elsewhere, and the manor of Newcastle under Lime co. Stafford, which they and Richard late bishop of Norwych and others (as before) had by gift of the king etc., also the reversions of lands in Wymbourne co. Dorset whereof Henry Tylman and Katherine his wife are tenants for the life of the said Katherine, of lands in Kyngeston co. Dorset whereof John Oke is tenant for life, of the hundred of 'South Erpyngham' co. Norffolk whereof Thomas Erpyngham knight is tenant for life, and of the manor of Tyberton whereof Katherine who was wife of Roger Leche knight is tenant for life with reversion to the archbishop etc. Proviso (as before); and (like) renunciation. Gift of all her goods and chattels moveable and immovable, quick and dead, in the city and suburbs of London and elsewhere within the realm. John Kyghley knight, Richard Ilkeley and William Walsshe chaplains to William Bredewardyn esquire and Margaret his wife, their heirs and assigns. Charter of demise of the whole manor and advowson of Stratehale co. Essex with all lands in Elmedoun, Walden and Lytelbury thereto belonging, wards, marriages, reliefs, escheats, homages, rents, services of freeholders and neifs, villeins, their suits and all that goes with them, and grant of a whole piece of ground in Walworth in the parish of Neuenton co. Surrey with the garden, ditches, hedges, etc., and 54 acres 1 rood of land and 4 acres of meadow in the fields of Walworth and Neuenton, all which the grantors had by her feoffment in her widowhood after the death of Thomas Marston sometime her husband.
