July 8.
Westminster.
William de Radeclyve and Richard de Radeclyve to Richard (sic) Longton etc. (as in the last). Recognisance for 1,000l., to be levied etc. in Lancashire. (fn. 1)
Condition, that the said William de Radeclyve and Richard shall save the said Ralph (sic) and the others harmless by reason of a recognisance to the king, by them made, that William de Radeclyve shall keep the peace toward William de Croukeshawe, Robert de Crosse (sic) and any other of the people whatsoever.
Vacated, because otherwise below.
Robert Thorley esquire to Henry Percy of Athell knight and his heirs. Quitclaim of the castle and manor of Mitforde with appurtenances in Mitforde, Framlyngton, 'Esteldeworth, Northmylborne,' Pontelonde, Little Elande, Calverton Valence and Mardesfen and 6d. of rent in Mallesdoun co. Northumberland, the manor and soke of Dunham co. Notyngham, the manor of Gaynesburgh co. Lincoln and 30l. of rent in Syxyndale, Alborne, Foston, Scorburgh, Ergerhum, Beverley, Fynele, Besewyke, Naffreton, Leuthorp, Twenge, Kyllom and Brunby co. York, and warranty thereof, with proviso that this warranty shall not bind the said Robert or his heirs to recover or make up the value of the premises or parcel thereof, but only to bar him and his heirs. Condition, that until the quinzaine of Michaelmas next the said William shall be of good and peaceable behaviour toward the king and people, and especially toward Robert de Crosselegh and William Croukshagh, and shall at that day be before the king ready to answer concerning certain articles touching him presented in Yorkshire and remaining of record, whereupon he is arraigned before the king, and has not yet made answer.

To the sheriff of Suthampton. Order, for particular causes specially moving the king and council, upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made that the men of that county who dwell along the sea coasts when peril shall threaten shall appoint watchmen and spies upon the coast for defence and safe guard thereof against sudden attacks and invasions of the king's enemies, as in times past used to be done in like case, and further that upon request of William Soper, overseer of the king's ships, carracks and balingers, the lieges of the county shall hasten and draw to the coast for garrisoning the same and for safe guard of the said ships etc., there to abide upon the guard thereof so long as need shall be. Indenture of gift of a yearly rent of 100s., to be taken of all lands, rents and services of the grantor in Worplesdoun, Purbright, Asshe and Sutton, putting him in possession by payment of 1d., with condition for defeasance thereof if the grantor shall save John Assheton and his executors harmless toward Thomas Pike citizen and draper of London, his executors and attorneys in respect of the 23l. 10s. payable 9 January next upon a bond given by the parties. Charter with warranty of a messuage in the city of Rochester, lately recovered by the grantors by assize of novel disseisin before Richard Norton and his fellows, justices of assize, against John Beaufitz, Isabel his wife, William Thorp, John Thorp, Thomas Wellesburne, Roger Landforde and Juliana his wife. Dated Rochester, 13 July 6 Henry V.
Memorandum of acknowledgment, by the said Margery at Horsete co. Cantebrigge 15 July before William Alyngton esquire, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year, and by John Sileby in chancery at Westminster, 13 July.

David ap Adam, otherwise called David Dodebrook, to the king. Recognisance for 500l., to be levied etc. of his lands and chattels in the town of Bristol. (fn. 3)
Condition, that he shall come before the council in person in the quinzaine of Michaelmas next, to answer touching what shall be laid against him on behalf of the king and of others, and meantime shall do or procure no hurt or harm to any of the people.

John Felys of Kedyngton co. Suffolk and John Bery of Wykham co. Cantebrygge to John Rodenale knight and John Wodehous esquire. Recognisance for 20l., to be levied etc. in the said counties. (fn. 3)
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 300 marks, made in chancery 12 July this year by John Penne of London 'skynner,' Thomas Gower of Warwickshire 'gentilman,' John Waget of Oxfordshire 'gentilman' and William Erle of Bristol merchant for David Dudbroke of Bristol merchant, and of an undertaking by him under the same pain, that he shall do or procure no hurt or harm to Mark William otherwise Spaynelle or any of the people.
John Cheyne esquire, lord of the manor of Isnamstede Cheyne, to Simon Elyne of the same. General release of all actions real and personal by reason of villenage, servitude or otherwise. Witnesses: William Cheyne, John atte Welle the younger of Watforde, Walter Boterfelde, John atte Welle, both of Isnamstede aforesaid.
