Alice late the wife of Thomas Shepey, daughter and heir of Walter de Wotton, to John Sloman abbot of St. Osith and the convent, and to their successors. Confirmation of a writing indented under the common seal of the abbot and convent and the seals of William Loueneye and Robert Olyver esquire her feoffees, whereby division was made of the manor of Ruishalle in 'Estmersey' co. Essex, namely that the abbot and convent and their successors shall have all the 'Northe lande,' to wit one field extending towards the house of John Page and containing by estimation 24 acres of land, one called Bawes containing by estimation about 14 acres, one called 'Northfelde' containing by estimation about 40 acres, the whole marsh there with all the profits thereof on the north side of the manor containing by estimation about 80 acres of land, and all services and rents of all tenants of the manor there, freeholders and neifs, with the court and leet to the manor belonging according to the custom thereof, and the said feoffees, their heirs and assigns, shall have the whole site of the manor with all houses and granges as now built, and all the 'Southlande,' namely one field called 'Hondpet' with a parcel of land called 'Chalspyghtell' containing about 20 acres of land to the south of the manor, a field called 'Mellefelde' containing about 20 acres, a field by 'Cattysbrooke' containing about 40 acres, a meadow called 'Cattysbrookmede' containing about 2 acres of land, a field called 'Roundfelde' containing about 18 acres, a field below the manor garden extending towards 'Prentyshethe' containing about 18 acres, and the marsh there to the south of the manor containing about 44 acres of land, whereof 20 acres are inclosed with marsh walls, and it was agreed that any residue of the manor not declared in that division should, if reasonably it might, or else the issues and profits thereof, should be equally divided between those parties, which writing was dated, as regards the abbot and convent at their house of St. Osith, and as regards the said feoffees at 'Estmersey,' 12 May 9 Henry V, and quitclaim of the moiety assigned to the abbot and convent, and the lands, marshes, services, rents, court and leet above mentioned; reciting that at present they possess a moiety of the said manor by gift of Richard Sutton knight and others, made with licence of the king, and are thereof peaceably seised in right of their church, that Henry late abbot recovered that moiety against the said Alice by assize of novel disseisin, that she has held the other moiety as of her heritage after her said father's death, that so they have a long while equally shared the profits of the undivided manor, and that the now abbot and convent and her said feoffees have agreed with her assent and by counsel and appointment of lieges learned in the law, friends and neighbours to make a partition of the same and of all the said lands etc., as by the said writing does appear. Memorandum of acknowledgment at Wygmore 26 December before Walter Lucy knight, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
Joan Hardy in her widowhood, daughter and heir of Thomas Pode and Joan his wife, to Edward Laughedoun and Joan his wife, their heirs and assigns. Release of all actions, claim or title by inheritance in three tenements in Sutton Vautort by Gillewille lying together and dispersedly in 'Hueletispark,' as contained in her charter to them made, and in all other lands, messuages, reversions, rents and services within the hundred of Rouburgh; and warranty of the same to them. Witnesses: John Sampsoun mayor of Plymmouth, Henry Boun, Thomas Judde, Richard Benet, William Pollarde. Dated Sutton Vautort, Friday after Michaelmas 8 Henry V.
Memorandum of acknowledgment at Plympton co. Devon on Monday after St. James the Apostle this year before Robert Hulle, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.

Nicholas Carreu to Roger Heroun, John Brymmesgrove clerks, John Cornwaleys, Thomas Hayton, John Gaynesforde, and Thomas Herynge, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of the manors of Great Purle, Hyde and Sulham co. Berkshire with the advowson of the church there (sic), and of all other lands, rents and services, heriots, reliefs, suits of court, ways, paths, rights etc. in the towns and parishes of Great Purle, Tilehurst, Sulham, Tydmersshe and Whichechirche which they had by his feoffment, and are thereof seised. Dated Purle aforesaid, 10 May 9 Henry V.

Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 40 marks, made in chancery 17 November this year by John Myton of Henley co. Oxford 'marchant,' Roger Lardener 'baker,' William Wode 'osteler,' both of London, and John Dier of Newelme co. Oxford 'marchant' for William Deuen and John Deuen his son, and undertaking by William Deuen and his son under a pain of 40l., that they shall do or procure no hurt or harm to any of the people.
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 40l., made in chancery 21 November this year by Robert Brette of Notynghamshire esquire for John Monyngton escheator in Herefordshire, and of an undertaking by the escheator under the same pain, that he shall appear in person before the king and council upon warning received.
