John Barbour is sent to the abbey and convent of Waverley, to take of that house such maintenance as John Warton deceased had therein. By p.s. [1408.]
Thomas Seyntcler esquire to William Cheyne, John Franke clerk, William Halle, John Halle, John Mulso, Geoffrey Motte clerk, and John Aston, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of all the manors etc. following, namely the manor and advowson of Cheselbergh co. Somerset, the manors of 'Barton Seynt John, Staunton Seynt John' and Chaldegrave co. Oxford, Astonclynton and Oke co. Bukingham, Stene and Farnyngho co. Norhampton, Shoteswelle co. Warrewyk, Bygemershe co. Gloucester, Assheby and Welyby co. Leycester, Swaffham Priour and a purparty of Clopton co. Cantebrigge, the manor and advowson of Wetheresfelde co. Suffolk, the manors of Pensherst, Aldeham, Lulkyngston Castelle and other lands, rents and services in Kent, the manors of Lagham, Heggecourt, Merdoun and Burstowe and other lands in Surrey, the manors of Brembyltye, Lavertye, Torryng, Excete, Brightelmeston, Notebourne, Newynham, Lampham, Jevyngton and Heghton with the advowsons of churches and chapels and other lands, woods, rents and services in Sussex, and the manors of Wolde and Preston co. Norhampton now held for life by John Nelonde and Margaret his wife, all which William Cheyne and the others had by his feoffment. Dated Friday before St. Margaret 3 Henry VI.
