Agnes who was wife of John Barbour of London 'wyndrawer,' being sister and heir of William Weston citizen and draper of London, in her widowhood to Joan late the wife of William Weston, who was wife of John Capel citizen and 'cordewaner' of London, her heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of a messuage with shops and garden adjacent in the parish of St. Olave Suthwerke between the river Thames on the north, the high street on the south, the churchyard of St. Olave on the west and a piece of ground of the abbot and convent of St. Augustine Canterbury and a tenement belonging to London bridge on the east; reciting a charter of demise and feoffment, dated Suthwerke 23 January 12 Richard II, whereby William Mildenhale citizen and 'cordewaner' and Ralph Sylkeston, both of London, granted to the said John Capel and Joan then his wife and to the heirs and assigns of John Capel the said messuage etc. which they had by his feoffment, that by virtue thereof the said William Weston and Joan held the same for her life, a writing dated 2 September 9 Henry IV whereby William Capel, son and heir of John Capel, gave the reversion of the same after the death of the said Joan to John Sylkeston tapicer, Ralph Sylkeston grocer, citizens of London, and Henry Ogham chaplain, their heirs and assigns, to whom William Weston and Joan attorned tenants, a quitclaim thereof enrolled in the Bench in Michaelmas term 10 Henry IV (roll 2 of charters and protections) by the said John Sylkeston, Ralph Sylkeston and Henry Ogham made to William Weston, his heirs and assigns, by force whereof he was seised of the premises in his demesne as of fee simple, and died so seised, and that by his death the reversion belongs to the said Agnes, her heirs and assigns.
