Dec. 18.
Dogmersfield.
To the customers in the port of Chichestre and the searcher therein. Order, on account of the dearness of wheat in the duchy of Normandy in these days, and the necessities of the king's lieges there, as he is informed, to suffer Andrew Mafay and John Bourer, after payment of the customs, subsidies etc. thereupon due, to ship 200 quarters of wheat in that port or other places adjacent to be taken over to Arques for relief of the lieges there and of the parts adjacent, and to carry it thither, any former command of the king to the contrary notwithstanding, taking of them security that it shall be taken nowhere else.
Dec. 16.
Dogmersfield.
To the customers in the port of Pole and the searchers therein. Order to suffer Richard Aunger, after payment of customs, subsidies etc. thereupon due, to take over to Dieppe 40 quarters of wheat bought and purveyed in Dorset and shipped in that port as he says, any former command of the king to the contrary notwithstanding, taking of him security that he shall not take the same to any other foreign parts.
Dec. 12.
Westminster.
To the customers in the port of Suthampton and the searcher therein. Order to suffer Richard Thornes and William Sparwe, after payment of the customs, subsidies etc. thereupon due, to take over to Bordeaux, Baioun or Rouen 200 quarters of wheat bought and purveyed in the county of Suthampton and the Isle of Wyght and shipped in that port as they say, any former command of the king to the contrary notwithstanding, taking of them security that they shall take the same to no other parts.
