Dec. 1.
Westminster.
Henry Wyrehall claiming to be abbot of St. Mary Basyngwerke to the king. Recognisance for 500 marks, to be levied etc. of his lands and chattels and church goods in Derbyshire. (fn. 1)
Condition, that he shall abide and perform the award of the abbots of St. Mary Fountains, St. Mary Bylande and St. Mary Whallay or two of them, to be made before Whitsuntide next, concerning all actions real and personal, all matters, pleas, plaints, wrongs, trespasses etc. spiritual and temporal between him and Richard Lee claiming to be abbot of the same monastery, and especially concerning the title and possession of the abbey, and all actions, matters, pleas, plaints, visitations, corrections, wrongs etc. spiritual and temporal to this date between him and John Gnoweshale abbot of St. Mary Bildewas, before the feast of St. Lucy next suffering the said Richard to go free out of prison until Whitsuntide aforesaid, so that he may appear before the chancellor and the arbitrators when he will, and staying until then every suit and appeal, and all process in any court spiritual or temporal whatsoever.
John Gnoweshale abbot of St. Mary Bildewas to the king. (Like) recognisance in Salop. (fn. 2)
Condition, that he shall abide etc. the award of (the said) arbitrators, touching all actions, visitations, corrections etc. (as above) between him and Henry Wyrehall, staying every suit etc. (as above).
Dec. 9.

John Savage, William Danyell esquires, William Legh son of Thomas Legh and William Legh of Acholles to the king. Recognisance for 500 marks, to be levied etc. of their lands and chattels in Cheshire. (fn. 2)
Condition, that they shall appear in person in chancery in the quinzaine of St. Hilary next, and meantime before William Chaunterell and his fellows, justices of the peace in Cheshire, shall find security for keeping the peace toward any of the people, which security shall be certified in chancery on or before the day named.
Dec. 10.
Westminster.
William Leventhorp to Nicholas Dixon clerk, Robert Burton and Thomas Radclyf. Recognisance for 300l., to be levied etc. in Staffordshire. (fn. 2)
