Oct. 5.
Westminster.
To the prior of Coventre for the time being. Order to pay to John Skelton the king's esquire 20l. a year during pleasure, and the arrears since 24 October 10 Henry VI, on which date with advice and assent of the council the king granted him during pleasure 20l. a year of the fee farm of the priory called 'Erlespart,' even as William Fitz Henry esquire deceased had.

Westminster.
To the citizens of Winchester for the time being. Order to pay to William Brugges, otherwise Gartier king of arms, 20l. a year during pleasure, and the arrears since Easter last; as by letters patent of 26 April 7 Henry VI with advice and assent of the council the king granted him during pleasure 20l. a year of the fee farm of that city.
Sept. 1.
Westminster.
To the mayor of Calais, being escheator in that town. Order to take of Roger Camoys security for payment of his relief at the exchequer, and to give him seisin of an inn with the appurtenances in the said town; as it is found by inquisition, taken before John Parke late mayor and escheator, that Thomas Camoys at his death held the same of the late king in chief by the service of two watches yearly, when it shall happen, for safe guard of the town, and that Roger his son is his next heir and of full age; and it is found by another inquisition, taken before the now mayor, that the said inn is the same as the houses, cottages, and pieces of void ground contained in letters patent, produced in chancery, whereby King Edward III gave the same to William Latymer now deceased and to his heirs male, by name of all tenements there sometime of John Dayre, with houses, cottages and all pieces of void ground to one or other attached, with remainder to the said Thomas and the heirs male of his body, and that the said Roger is his next heir; and for 6s. 8d. paid in the hanaper the king has respited the homage and fealty of the said Roger until Easter day next.
Vacated, because otherwise upon the Fine Roll for this year.
Oct. 16.
Westminster.
To the sheriff of York for the time being. Order every year to pay to John Forest 6d. a day during his life, and to pay him the arrears since Easter last; as the late king by letters patent, confirmed by the king 18 December 1 Henry VI, granted to him for life the keeping of his stank of Fosse near the city of York, with wages of 6d. a day of the issues, profits and farms of the county arising.
