Westminster.
To the escheator in Northumberland. Order to give Henry Gray otherwise Grey knight, son and heir of John Grey knight and of Joan his wife one of the daughters and heirs of Edward Charlton knight and one of the sisters and heirs of Edmund earl of March son of Eleanor countess of March one of the sisters and heirs of Edmund brother of Thomas earl of Kent, [the said Joan being] one of the cousins and heirs of Joan duchess of York and wife of Henry Bromflet knight, another sister and heir of Edmund brother of Thomas, and also one of the cousins and heirs of the said Edward, seisin of the lands of his father and of his purparties of the lands of the said earl of March and the said duchess, and of those of his heritage held in dower by Anne who was wife of the said earl of March, taken into the king's hand by their death and by reason of his nonage; as he proved his age before Robert Whitcombe late escheator in Salop, and for 20s. paid in the hanaper the king has respited until Whitsuntide next his homage and fealty due for the lands of his father and mother and for his purparty of the lands of the earl of March and the said duchess, and of those held in dower and otherwise for life by Anne who was wife of the said earl of March of the heritage of Richard duke of York, son of Anne one of the sisters of the said earl of March, and of Joyce wife of John Tiptoft knight a second sister of the said earl of March, and of the said Henry, and for the lands held by John Fitz Piers deceased.
To the escheator in Worcestershire. Like order; as for a fine paid in the hanaper the king has respited the homage and fealty of the said Henry.
