Master Nicholas Osulbury warden of the college of St. Mary of Winchester in Oxford and the scholars thereof to William bishop of Lincoln, Ralph lord Cromwell knight, John Langholme, John Tamworth, Richard Leeke, William Stanlowe, William Massyngham, Robert Cailflete and John Rancok clerk, their executors and assigns. Gift of a yearly rent of 40l., to be taken for three and twenty years from Michaelmas day next of and in the manors (sic) of Newenton Longvile, and all other manors, lands, rents, woods, mills, portions, fees, advowsons, parsonages, rights, commons, lordships, issues and liberties in whatsoever counties to the alien priory of St. Faith Longvile sometime belonging, payable in the church of St. Bride 'Fletestrete' London; and covenant to pay 100s. in name of a pain if the rent be one quarter in arrear, and 20s. if any distress for arrears of rent or for the said pain be replevied or rescued by command and assent of the warden and scholars or their successors. Dated 4 September 21 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment at the said college 4 September before William Tresham, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
