Westminster.
Hamon Beele of Elham co. Kent 'gentilman' to John Stopyndoun keeper of the chancery rolls, William Haute and Geoffrey Louther esquires. Recognisance for 120 marks, to be levied etc. in Kent.
Condition, that he shall pay them 40 marks on Michaelmas day 1444, 40 marks on Michaelmas day following, and 40 marks on Michaelmas day following.

Richard Plouman of the city of New Sarum to Christina who was wife of John Chapman of Tyssebury, her heirs and assigns. Quitclaim of all the lands, rents, services, reversions etc. in the said city, in Bymerton, Stratford under Old Sarum castle, Laverkestoke and elsewhere in Wiltesir, or in Frytham, Broke and Burneforde in the parish of Brembelshawe or elsewhere in the county of Suthampton, which he had jointly with Edmund Penston, Ancelm Grant, the said Christina and William Lorde now deceased by feoffment of Christina who was wife of Henry Baroun citizen of New Sarum. Witnesses: John Locy, Geoffrey Godeloke, William Halle, Henry Fitz John, John Welles. Dated 14 October 2 Henry VI (sic).

John Ferrers esquire, brother of William lord Ferrers knight, to John Gresley knight, Thomas Wolsley 'gentilman' and Thomas Ardyngton, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim of the manor of Castelle Bromwych and a moiety of the manor of 'Netherwhiteacre' co. Warrewyk, a moiety of the manor of Barre co. Stafford and a moiety of the manor of Doerton co. Bukingham, which the said John, with John Beauchamp knight and William Dodyngton had by grant of Philip Chetwynt knight and Ellen his wife, late dame Ferrers, by fine levied before the justices of the Common Bench. Dated 16 October 22 Henry VI.
