To the customers in the port of Pole. Order if truly assured that the wool does not pertain to the staple of Calais, and that answer ought not to be made to the king for any subsidy over and above the custom thereupon, after viewing the letters of cocket, to suffer Nicholas Andrewe burgess of Kaerdyff in Wales without a second payment of custom to send over from Pole to Normandy eighteen sacks of wool of the growth of Wales, upon which he paid custom at the staple of Kermerdyn, as by letters patent of cocket under seal of the chancery of Suthwales produced in chancery may appear any command of the king to the contrary notwithstanding; otherwise not to suffer the same to be taken or sent over elsewhere than to Calais without his special licence.
