The dean, canons and chapter of the new collegiate church of St. Mary Leycestre to William Normanton clerk. Indenture of lease for 95 years from Easter day 18 Henry VI at a yearly rent of 2 marks of a messuage called the 'Flouredelise' with two shops and a garden adjacent in the parish of St. Mary 'del Strond,' between the high way which extends from the 'Strond' to St. Giles on the east and a tenement sometime of John Shelton on the west: covenants that the lessee shall repair the messuage and shops, and new build the garden walls, and at the end of the term shall leave them in good repair, and the walls thatched with reeds, and for power to the lessors to enter again and hold the premises in their first estate if the rent be one year in arrear and sufficient distress may not be found, or if there be any notable default in maintenance thereof one year after warning given. Dated the day and year above mentioned.
