John Boteler esquire, son and heir of William Boteler, and Walter Portman, Henry Champeneys and John Wittokesmede, his feoffees to his use of all the manors and lands of the said William in Somerset, to Richard Chok of Staunton Drewe and Joan his wife and to the heirs of the body of the said Richard. Gift indented of a yearly rent of 100s. to be taken of all the lands late of William Boteler in Staunton Drewe, Farneborough, Edyngworth, Wellys, Dulcote and Dynner, under a condition for defeasance thereof if the grantees shall peaceably possess 6s. 8d. of rent issuing from a messuage in Staunton called 'Prikkes,' an enclosed meadow adjacent and 10 acres of land whereof John Chok and Richard are tenants for life by demise of the said William, 2s. from a messuage there called 'Tiledhous' and 3 acres of land whereof John Chok is tenant for life, 4s. from a messuage, enclosed meadow and 6 acres of land whereof Florence Taillour and Edith her daughter are tenants for life, 5s. from a messuage called 'Briggenplace,' four closes adjoining and 10 acres of land whereof Katherine Clerk is tenant for life, 3s. 4d. from the moiety of a corn mill and a fulling mill, a messuage called 'Milleplace,' an enclosed meadow and 10 acres of land whereof Richard Forster of Bristol the elder and Joan his wife are tenants for life, 5s. from a close called 'Cakes' and 10 acres of land whereof Richard Forster and Joan are tenants for life, all by like demise, and the reversion of those premises after the death or surrender of the said tenants, also an enclosed pasture called 'Stones' and 8 acres of arable land in Staunton, 4 acres lying together in the west field in a furlong called 'Midelton' on the west side thereof, and 4 others in the south field in a piece of land called the 'Tarrepece' by the 'Tarrethorne,' not being impleaded in any court of the king nor thrust out by John Boteler, his heirs or feoffees. Memorandum of acknowledgment of the foregoing writings by John Boteler and all his said feoffees at Yevelchestre co. Somerset 1 October this year before Richard Chok, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.
John Breteyn of Suthwerke co. Surrey 'brewer' to Nicholas Comerworth citizen and 'chapmaker' of London and Robert Haunsard 'gentilman,' their heirs and assigns. Charter with warranty of all his lands, goods, rents and services with rights etc. in Suthwerk co. Surrey or elsewhere within the realm. William Lee citizen and grocer of London, son and heir of Juliana daughter and heir of Thomas son and heir of Thomas de Borstalle brother of James de Borstall, to Thomas Gay the elder citizen of London, John Neyler 'gentilman' and John Hardy citizen and skinner of London and to the heirs and assigns of Thomas Gay. Confirmation and quitclaim of all the lands, dovecote, rents and services in Plumstede and the parish thereof, Wykham and Borstall, co. Kent which were of the said Juliana his mother, with wards, fees, woods, underwoods, waters, stanks, fisheries, escheats, gardens, hedges, ditches, courts, suits of court etc. which by charter indented, dated London 17 August 1450, 28 Henry VI, he gave to them and to the heirs and assigns of Thomas Gay, under a condition for annulment of the gift if he should on or before the eve of St. Bartholomew next pay to Thomas Gay or his attorney, his heirs or executors 42l. 13s. 4d. in the church of St. Dunstan 'Fletestrete' in the suburb of London, alleging no acquittance or payment elsewhere made, and acknowledgment of a further payment by Thomas Gay of 5l. 6s. 8d.; with condition for defeasance hereof if William Lee or any other in his name shall on or before the eve of St. Bartholomew next pay the said two sums to Thomas Gay etc. (as above) in the said church alleging no acquittance or payment elsewhere made. John Fox citizen of London to Joan who was wife of William Dogge. Recognisance for 40 marks, to be levied etc. in the city of London.
Condition, that he shall pay her 3s. 4d. at Christmas day next, 3s. 4d. at Easter day next, 3s. 4d. at Midsummer day next and at Michaelmas day 1451, and so year by year until 20 marks be paid.

Condition, that he shall appear in chancery in person in the octaves of Michaelmas next, and shall do his best to cause John Eversley to make to the said Nicholas, his heirs and assigns a feoffment of a water mill and meadows in a place in the parish of Maydeston and Boxle called 'Cristians Mille' which were of Thomas Pette brother of Nicholas whose heir he is.
Thomas Chetewyn 'gentilman' to Thomas Lyttylton and Joan his wife. Bond in 200l. payable on the feast of Allhallows next. Dated 2 October 29 Henry VI.
Condition, that he shall keep the peace toward them, doing or procuring them no hurt or harm.

Charter of all the lands, woods, rents, farms and services in the parishes of Cranebroke and Goutherst which the grantors had by gift of Alice Bysshopp jointly with Walter Stevenys clerk, who by writing of 8 April 18 Henry VI made a quitclaim thereof to them, their heirs and assigns.
