William Batell of Plumpton in Aundernes (sic) co. Lancaster 'gentilman,' Geoffrey Chambre of Rosse co. Hereford 'gentilman,' Robert Brygge of Kirton in Holand co. Lincoln 'yoman,' Robert Fysshe of the parish of St. Martin in the 'Vyntry' London 'joynour,' John Longe of Westminster co. Middlesex esquire, Richard May of the parish of St. Michael 'Crokedlane' London 'gentilman,' William Dokkynge of the king's household 'grome' and Robert Hughson of Boston co. Lincoln 'gentilman' to John Blaunche citizen and grocer of London. Recognisance for 50l., to be levied etc. in the counties and city aforesaid.
The said William, Geoffrey, Robert, Robert, John Longe, Richard, William and Robert to the king. (Like) recognisance.
Condition, that Robert Hughson shall appear in person in chancery in the quinzaine of Michaelmas next, to answer John Blaunche concerning an execution for 50l. by virtue of a statute staple to the said John by him made, and from day to day until by the chancellor and the chief justice appointed to hold pleas before the king it shall be determined whether according to an act in the parliament holden at Westminster in 27 Henry VI John Blaunche ought to have execution against him or no.

William Caleys parson of 'Aynderby with the Steple' and William Vyncent esquire to John lord le Scrop and Elizabeth his wife for their lives and the life of the longest liver without impeachment of waste. Charter of the manor of Neylond extending into Essex and Suffolk with the members, namely Great Horkesley, Little Horkesley, Wiston and Leveneshethe, and all their lands and rents in Colchestre, the manor of Fyfhede and all their lands in Pelhames and Mynges co. Essex, the manor of Bowdon and Hareburgh co. Leycester, the manor of Bernolby co. Lincoln with the members, namely Walthame, Wathe, Henton and Brigeley and all their lands and rents in Grymesby, the manors and advowsons of 'South Muskham' and Carleton co. Notyngham with all liberties, profits etc. and lands which they had by gift of John lord le Scrop; and remainder as regards the manors of Neylond, Fiffehede, Bowdon and Hareburgh and Bernolby to John le Scrop their son and heir apparent and to the heirs of his body, remainder to the right heirs of the said lord, and as regards the manors of Southmuskham and Carleton to Thomas their son until by the said John he shall be married to some woman seised in fee simple or fee tail of lands to the value of 100l. a year, shall be advanced to some benefice of the value of 200l. a year beyond reprises, or provision shall be made by the said John to him and his heirs, or to him for life, of other lands to the value of 100 marks a year, and then the same shall remain to the said John the son and to the heirs of his body, with remainder to the right heirs of John lord le Scrop; if the said John shall die in the life time of the said Elizabeth, she shall hold all these manors etc. for life in recompense for all her dower of the manors, lands and freehold of her husband, and proviso that if in the king's court or elsewhere by his writ or otherwise she shall make demand, claim or suit for dower against her husband's heirs, and appear in person or by attorney, her estate and possession by virtue of this charter and of seisin thereupon had shall be void, saving her right to dower if after her husband's death she will not consent to this feoffment. William Caleys and William Vyncent (as above) to John Joseph and William Turnour. Letter of attorney, appointing them to give John lord le Scrop and Elizabeth his wife seisin of the manors of Neylond with the members, Fiffehed with lands in Pelhames and Mynges, Bowedon and Hareburgh, Bernolby with the members, 'South Muskham' and Carleton. Dated 17 April 24 Henry VI.
Memorandum of acknowledgment of the foregoing charter and writing by William Caleys at York 24 June this year before Richard Byngham, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year.

Oxford, to John Iwardeby, Joan his wife and Thomas Lynde son and heir of the said Joan, and to the heirs and assigns of the said Thomas. Gift of the whole pasture for all beasts and cattle in all places belonging to the manor of Mapulderham Chausey where the lord's beasts or cattle were used or ought to pasture with free ingress and egress; reciting a charter whereby sir John de Chausey lord of Mapulderham Chauseye gave the same to sir John Bardolff, his heirs and assigns. Memorandum that on Monday 2 April 32 Henry VI between the hour of eleven and twelve Richard earl of Warrewyk, John earl of Worcester the treasurer and John viscount Beaumont brought into the great chamber of parliament at Westminster a locked chest of wood sealed with the seals of Richard duke of York the king's representative in this parliament, William archbishop of York, William bishop of Winchester, Thomas bishop of Ely and Richard earl of Salisbury in the presence of the said representative, archbishop of York, and of Robert bishop of Durham, Reynold bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, Walter bishop of Norwich, John bishop of Lincoln, John bishop of Worcester, Richard bishop of Salisbury, John bishop of Hereford, William bishop of Karliol, John duke of Norffolk, Humphrey duke of Bukingham, Jasper earl of Pembroch, James earl of Wiltesir, Thomas earl of Devon, John earl of Oxford, John earl of Shrewsbury, Henry viscount Bourghchier, Robert prior of St. John of Jerusalem in England, Edmund Grey of Ruthyn, William Bourghchier, William Nevyle, Edward Nevyle, Richard Willughby, Ralph Graystok, John Duddeley, John Stourton knights and other lords spiritual and temporal, Thomas Kirkeby keeper of the chancery rolls, John Faukes, William Hill, Robert Kirkeham, William Normanton and Richard Fryston clerks of chancery, in which chest were the king's three great seals, one of gold and two of silver, in keeping of John cardinal archbishop of Canterbury at his death when he was chancellor, put there after his death in the said chamber with assent of the said lords on the day of his death under seal of the said representative, archbishop of York, bishops of Winchester and Ely and earl of Salisbury; and when it was so brought with the said seals therein the earls of Warrewyk and Worcester and viscount Beaumont did lay it upon the bench whereupon the king's representative was sitting, and after an interval of the quarter of an hour the earl of Salisbury took upon him the charge of the office of chancellor, and having taken of him the oath of office in the usual form, the king's representative caused the chest to be opened, and one great seal of silver therein to be drawn out of the bag wherein it was, and delivered to the earl of Salisbury, together with the two other seals, one of gold and the other of silver, severally in their bags as they were, whereupon that earl caused the seal so drawn out to be sealed up again in the bag under his own seal, and put again in the chest, and the chest to be locked and likewise sealed with his seal, and to be carried to his dwelling place in the city of London commonly called the 'Erber,' and the same day in that house about the third hour after noon, in a long chamber therein, he caused letters patent of pardon touching assignment of dower to Anne duchess of Exeter, made by the king with assent of the said lords spiritual and temporal in the said parliament, and divers original writs to be sealed with the seal which was in the bag under his own seal, in presence of the said bishop of Durham, William Nevile, the keeper of the rolls, John Faukes, William Hill, Robert Kirkeham, William Normanton and Richard Fryston.

Berkshire, and of all lands, rents and services in Westwyteham thereto pertaining, which the bishop with Richard Drayton, Peter Idle esquires, John Thornhill, John Wyne clerks and with Dru Barantyne deceased had by grant of Henry Huse the father, confirmed by Henry Huse the son, and by writing dated 14 May 32 Henry VI Richard Drayton, Peter Idle, John Thornhill and John Wyne made a quitclaim thereof to the bishop. Joan Seintcler of Westminster widow, late the wife of John Seintcler of Westminster, to William Stokes, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of fourteen dwellings with houses thereupon built in the parish of St. Sepulchre without Newgate in the suburb of London and ward of Farndon without, in breadth between a tenement of the abbot and convent of Holy Trinity upon the 'Tourehull' London in the tenure of John Longe on the east and the river running under 'Holbourne brigge' on the west, and in length from the high street toward the south to a great piece of void land of the said abbot and convent formerly in the tenure of William Courte 'tylemaker' towards the north.
