Leo lord Welles knight to John Neel master of the house or hospital of St. Thomas the Martyr of Acon London. Recognisance for 200l., to be levied etc. in Lincolnshire.
Condition, that within two months after Michaelmas next he shall pay the master and his successors, or their attorney, 25l. in the church of the said house or hospital upon the altar of the Virgin, 25l. within two months after Easter following, and so year by year until 200l. be paid, and that he, his heirs or executors shall not plead or allege any acquittance, payment, deed, release or ought else to bar the master etc. made or bearing date elsewhere than in the said church.

Thomas Palmer of Holt co. Leycester 'gentilman' to James lord Say. Recognisance for 300 marks, to be levied etc. in Leycestershire.
Condition, that before Michaelmas next Agnes or Anne (sic) who was wife of Thomas Basynges esquire and after of William Porter knight shall by deed attorn tenant to James Fynes knight lord Say of Sele and to Stephen Slegge of the manor and advowson of Kenerton, of lands called 'Cokeryde,' and of all lands, rents, services, woods, underwoods, hays, ditches, courts, liberties etc. in the parishes of Kenerton, Appuldore, Wherhorne, Rokynge, Snave, Bilsyngton, Seyntmarycherche, Natyngton, Bokton, Stone and Elmele co. Kent whereof she is tenant for life, and within a month after shall by writing make a surrender and quitclaim of the said manor etc. and all her interest therein to the said lord Say and his heirs; and that if she shall die before such surrender, John Kirkeby, John Peyntour clerk and William Baker shall within one quarter of a year after her death by writing make a quitclaim with warranty of the same to him and his heirs.
Vacated, because on 22 November 27 Henry VI the said James did acknowledge that he was contented.

To the prior and convent of Daventre co. Norhampton. Request to take again their letters patent concerning a corrody or maintenance for life within the priory which Thomas Bedyll has at the king's request, to admit the said Thomas and John Couper to their house, and minister to them such corrody or maintenance as the said Thomas or any other person heretofore had therein, making them letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what they shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as Thomas Bedyll is minded to demise his estate therein to the end that he and John Couper may have it for their lives and the life of the longest liver, and for their good service the king has sent them thither.
