John Browe of Wodehede co. Roteland esquire, to Thomas Wake, Walter Blount, William Hastynges, Geoffrey Sherard esquires, William Coton 'gentilman' and Henry Gymber 'gentilman.' Recognisance for 240l., to be levied etc. in Roteland.
Condition, that he shall save them, their heirs and executors harmless toward the king and his successors in respect of 240l. wherein they were bound for him to the king by recognisances made in chancery, 20 May, 35 Henry VI.
Daniel Yonge citizen and 'turnour' of London, to John Stokker draper, Robert Chapmanforde, William Brosebon 'plomer,' Edward Walder 'foyster' and Henry Merssh 'talughchaundeler' citizens of London, their executors and assigns. Gift with warranty of all his goods and chattels in the city and suburbs of London or elsewhere within the realm, and all debts to him due within the realm. Dated 3 June, 35 Henry VI.

Griffith ap Jevan ap David 'gentilman' and Edmund ap Hulkyn 'yoman,' both of Flyntshire in Wales, to Thomas bishop of St. Asaph. Recognisance for 50l., to be levied etc. in the county aforesaid.
Condition, that before Easter next Llewelyn ap Jankyn of Flyntshire 'yoman' shall cause all tenants of the bishopric of St. Asaph to submit themselves to the bishop, that they shall pay him all rents to the church of St. Asaph which are in arrear, as they and their predecessors were used to do, that the said Llewelyn shall appear in person in chancery on 15 May next, to answer touching what shall be laid against him on behalf of the bishop, in case the tenants submit not themselves or pay not those rents, and that he shall abide the award of Master Robert Assher, Master Robert Hoope, David ap Ithell Vechan and David ap Griffith ap David of Bromfeld touching all costs of the bishop's suit.
Llewelyn ap Jankyn of Flyntshire 'yoman,' to Thomas bishop of St. Asaph. Recognisance for 200l., to be levied etc. in the said county.

Joan Carbonell widow, late the wife of William Carbonell of Westminster, to John Maynsforth of the king's household, his executors and assigns. Gift of all her goods and chattels in Westminster and elsewhere within the realm; and she has put him in possession thereof by payment of 4d. Dated 26 June, 34 Henry VI.

William Baron esquire and Thomas Bruer, to John Norrys esquire, his heirs and assigns. Grant of the reversion of the manor of Erlegh Whiteknyghtes co. Berkshire, the advowson of the chapel there, 200 acres of land, 30 acres of meadow, 30 acres of pasture, 50 acres of wood, 200 acres of heath and 6s. of rent in Sunnyng, Erlegh, Whitle, Hurste and Redyng which Thomas Beek, son and heir of John Beek, and Isabel his wife (uxor) have by gift of Robert Morys and John Sawyer to them and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the now grantors and to their heirs. Henry duke of Somerset, son and heir of Edmund duke of Somerset, to William bishop of Winchester patron or founder of the hospital or almshouse of noble poverty of Henry Beauford late cardinal of England and bishop of Winchester, or by what name soever it be called, and to his successors. Quitclaim of all right and interest by reason of any ordinance or will or of any statutes for ruling of the hospital to nominate or present any person for admission thereto, or to collate any person to a maintenance therein; and grant that the bishop and his successors shall have every such nomination and collation, any ordinance, will or statute to the contrary notwithstanding. Condition, that from time to time upon warning received he shall appear in person before the bishop or his counsel, to answer touching what shall be laid against him on the bishop's behalf.

Thomas Fyndern of Carleton co. Cantebrigge knight, Henry Eryvin parson of Slyme in the county of Guynes in Picardy, Henry Yong of Guynes 'gentilman' and Robert Ansty of Taversham co. Cantebrigge 'gentilman' to the king. Recognisance for 1,600l., to be levied etc. in the counties aforesaid.
Condition, that whereas by letters patent of 12 May, 35 Henry VI, for payment of 2,000 marks from him due to the said Thomas as lieutenant of his castle of Guynes and to the hired soldiers thereof, by advice of the council the king gave the said Thomas licence by himself, his factors or attorneys native or alien once or divers times as they please in the port of London to ship in carracks, galleys or other ships and carry beyond the mountains to Italy 1,600 sacks of wool of his own or of any other person native or alien, the whole of the wool so shipped shall be carried thither, and within a year after shipment they shall bring into chancery letters testimonial under seal of the city of Cumae beyond the mountains witnessing that the same was brought thither.
