James Lutrell of Dunster co. Somerset, Simon Melbourn of Wiltesir esquires and John Loty of Dunster 'gentilman,' to William bishop of Winchester. Recognisance for 1,000l., to be levied etc. in Somerset and Wiltshire.
Condition, that James Lutrell shall abide and perform the judgment of the bishop touching all actions, trespasses, offences, plaints, debates and demands between the bishop, Alexander Hody, John Toker, Robert Smyth chaplain and Walter Payntour servants of the said Alexander and himself, so that the same be rendered before 4 February next, and shall appear before him upon fifteen days' notice at such place and day as the bishop will appoint before that date, to hear his judgment.

The said James, Simon and John Loty to Alexander Hody. (Like) recognisance.
Condition, that the said James, John Housay, Hugh Lutrell, John Giles, William Abbot, William Henxleghe, John Cokkys, Robert Cokkys, Thomas Edward, John Hunt, Howell Benagham, John Fleccher, Roger Boteler, Richard Bayford, David Kenseke, John Crosse, William Thorn, John Walter the younger, John Hulet, John Lyddon, John Bowyer, William Morgan, John Morgan, Lewis John, John Awode, John Gunner, Walter Bowyer the younger, John Crosse 'tonker,' John Walter the elder, and John Torre his servants shall abide and perform the judgment of William bishop of Winchester touching all actions etc. between the said James and his said servants on the one part and the said Alexander and John Touker, Robert Smyth chaplain and Walter Payntour his servants on the other part, so that the same be rendered before 4 February next, and meantime shall keep the peace toward the said Alexander, John Capron clerk, Robert Cotes the younger, John Nythewey, William Plusshe, Robert Bele, John Thressher, Robert Wynnescote, Maurice ap Merycke, John Abraham, John Pyckinere, John Howell, Walter Lathum, Thomas Bawedewyne, Matthew Ducheman, John Squyer the younger, William ap Powell, John Howlete, John Gye otherwise Elys, John Touker, Robert Smyth chaplain and Walter Payntour his servants; and if judgment be not then rendered the said James shall appear in person in chancery at the day named.
Alexander Hody of Taunton co. Somerset esquire, to James Lutrell. (Like) recognisance.
Condition, that the said Alexander, John Toker, Robert Smythe chaplain and Walter Payntour his servants, shall likewise abide and perform the award of the said bishop touching all actions etc. between them on the one part and the said James, John Housay and the others (above named) his servants, so that the same be rendered etc. (as above).
John Spynney chaplain, to John Kirkeby clerk. Bond in 50l. payable at Michaelmas day next. Dated 20 November, 36 Henry VI.
Condition that he, being perpetual chaplain of the chantry of St. Katherine in Bridport, shall pay 20s. a year at Michaelmas until 50l. be fully paid, or until he shall be advanced to a benefice of the yearly value of 20 marks, that when so advanced he shall pay 5 marks to John Kirkeby at Michaelmas day after his institution, and 5 marks a year at Michaelmas until 50l. be paid, or if advanced to a benefice of 20l. a year he shall pay 100s. a year, and that he shall not refuse a benefice if offered him.

John Wynne of London 'goldsmyth,' to John Steward citizen and 'chaundeler,' Matthew Hall citizen and goldsmith, Nicholas Drayton citizen and mercer, John Halle 'gentilman,' all of London, and Roger Kelsey, their executors and assigns. Gift of all his goods and chattels and all his debts within the realm and elsewhere. Dated London, 8 August 1457, 35 Henry VI.
