William de Grymston to John de Grymston. Recognisance for 13 marks, to be levied etc. in Yorkshire.
Memorandum that on 7 July 4 Richard II in the chancery at Westminster Michael de Ravendale, executor of Sir David de Wollore, delivered to Robert de Swynborne knight, purchaser of a tenement called Coppedhalle in London, a charter thereof made by Philip de Neuton late citizen and mercer of London to William de Felton knight and his heirs, a letter concerning livery of seisin, and another concerning receipt of seisin, and the said Robert gave a bond to acquit the executor thereof.

Edmund Tettesworth the king's serjeant at arms is sent to the prior and convent of Roucestre, to take for life such maintenance in that house as Ralph Doughty deceased had. By p.s. [1321.]
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 12 July 4 Richard II by Robert de Dyneley, William Gascoigne, Thomas Mymmes and William Vavasour, that Gilbert Drayton vicar of Stybenhith in the diocese of London shall do or procure no hurt or harm to William Bryan clerk, nor procure his arrest contrary to the law.

To David Craddok justice of Suthwales, or his representative in Kermerdynshire. Order to receive William Fort and William Davy, whom Joan de Seyntclere has before the king appointed her attorneys for one year in all pleas and plaints in that county moved in the king's courts whatsoever, or one of them if both may not be present.
The said Joan has the like letters in the names of Thomas Rede and William Adam.

Grant and quitclaim with warranty of two crofts called 'Bretonescroftes,' 2 acres of land in Heghfeld by the vicar's close on the north side of his manse, and of the advowson of Heghfeld co. Suthampton, which the bishop had by gift of the said Thomas. To the collectors in Suffolk of the subsidy of 16d. in the mark granted to the king in the last parliament by the clergy of the province of Canterbury. Order, out of compassion for the abbot and convent of Leyston by reason of their poverty, to stay until Michaelmas next the demand for the portion falling upon them, releasing any sequestration made upon the fruits of their churches and possessions.

Writ of supersedeas in favour of Simon archbishop of Canterbury, John king of Castille and Leon duke of Lancaster and certain others, being the late king's feoffees of certain lands in Kent, in regard to the issues and profits thereof from 5 October 50 Edward III, the date of the feoffment, and order to discharge the feoffees at the exchequer, suffering them to dispose of the same at their pleasure. To the sheriff of Suffolk. Writ of supersedeas, by mainprise of John Staverton and Adam Tastard of Suffolk, Richard Lambe and William Brekkles of London, in favour of William Cuntre and John Trade of Oulton at suit of Henry Rolves for debt.
Memorandum that William Bast of Dertemuth and others were by certain ministers of the king accused of rebelling against the king's commands addressed to the mayor and bailiffs of Dertemuth to deliver up goods of merchants of Camp' unlawfully taken at sea by the king's lieges, of abusing and threatening certain serjeants at arms sent with those commands, hindering the same and taking no heed to obey them, wherefore the said William was after arrested at London, committed to the sheriffs, and by them sent before the council, when he utterly denied the articles laid against him, craving admission of his defence by information and proof of his neighbours; and the council being truly assured that an assize of novel disseisin and a writ of oyer and terminer against him were newly obtained whereby in his absence he was like to suffer disherison and damage if detained in prison, and for that Richard Crise of Dertmuth, William Clerc of Dertmuth, John Oudyn of Essex and John Derneford citizen of London, appearing in person before the council at Westminster in the Star Chamber on 18 July this year, mainperned under a pain of 100l. to have his body before the council in the quinzaine of Michaelmas next and for his good behaviour, and that he should be aiding and give diligence to make restitution to the said merchants of Cateloigne according to the king's commands, he is set free to journey to his own parts, and the sheriffs are discharged of his custody.

Writ of supersedeas, by mainprise of William Roudon, Robert de Barton, John Rouland of Lincolnshire and Thomas Hunt of Derbyshire, in favour of John de Leycestre, otherwise called John Sleford, at suit of the king for that he had not Ivo Hamsterley before the justices at Westminster at a day past to render account to Ralph de Hales, as he mainperned to do; and order to revoke any execution made of a writ de judicio ordering the sheriff to take the said John.

To the sheriff of Berkshire. Order, upon petition of John atte Hegge and John Smyth, by mainprise of William atte Westende, Richard atte Merssh, Richard Ladde and William Herry to deliver up their cattle taken to withernam by virtue of the king's writ concerning the replevin of cattle of Nicholas abbot of Waltham Holy Cross by them taken and unlawfully withheld; as the sheriff returned that he might not replevy the same for that he repaired to the place where they were impounded but might have no view of them, wherefore the king ordered him to take cattle of the said John and John as aforesaid; and their petition shews that they took the abbot's cattle for money due to the king by reason of the fifteenth and moiety of a fifteenth last granted to the king, and that a plea is pending thereupon before the justices at Westminster.

Quitclaim of all the lands sometime of Henry Darcy in the town of Estgrenewich and the hamlets of Combe and Cherlton co.
