To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Order, upon petition presented in parliament by Joan who was wife of Thomas de Felton knight, to examine charters and writings in her hands and, if assured thereby, or by inquisition or other lawful means, that on 2 August 48 Edward III and after her husband had no estate in the manors of Fordham, Wilby, Banham, Greys in Banham and Barewe, and in the moiety of a messuage and of 100 acres of land in Wilby save jointly with her, and that the premises are after his death seized into the king's hand by command of the exchequer by colour of divers sums by him received as a prest at the receipt of the late king's exchequer for which no account has yet been rendered by him or any other in his name, order to remove the king's hand therefrom and from the issues thereof, suffering the said Joan to hold the premises according to the feoffments thereof made to her husband and to her, as her petition shews.
