Thomas Bekiswelle (Bekeswelle), otherwise called Thomas Mosyl, of Riston co. Norffolk to Edmund Hoddisdoun citizen and mercer of London, John Barton of Bukinghamshire and Thomas Thornbourgh, their heirs and assigns. Charter indented with warranty of all his lands, rents, reversions and services in Lymburgh or elsewhere in Bukinghamshire, with the profits etc., under a condition that he shall enter and hold the same again in his first estate, this charter notwithstanding, if on the eve of Easter next at London in presence of the mayor and nowhere else he shall pay the said Edmund 40l., taking an acquittance thereof, and covenant that if in time to come he shall make or allege any payment elsewhere made, or allege any deed of release, or aught else but such acquittance to void the estate of the grantees, they and their heirs shall thenceforward hold the premises for ever, the said condition notwithstanding. Dated Saturday after St. Gregory the Pope 18 Richard II.
