Aug. 23.
Lichfield.
To the sheriff of Wiltesir. Order at his peril for particular causes to seize into the king's hand a thousand sheep of Richard bishop of Salisbury, the wool of them arising, fifty oxen, six ploughs with their gear, two wains bound with iron with eight horses for them and 30s. in money by tale of his, which were by John Whitehede, Thomas Warner of Edgarston, William Payn and John 'the Smythesson of Aldebourne' arrested at Beydoun and Busshopeston, with other the bishop's goods and chattels wherever found in the sheriff's bailiwick in whose hands soever it be, and to safe keep them until further order, not dispersing nor eloigning them.
To the sheriff of Berkshire. Like order to seize all goods and chattels of the said bishop within his bailiwick.
Like writs to the sheriffs of Dorset and Sussex.

Coventry.
To John Glemham, appointed with others a guardian of the peace and justice of oyer and terminer in Suffolk. Order to meddle no further in keeping the peace and in the justiceship; as for particular causes moving the king and council the king has discharged him.
