To John, archbishop in the universal church, sometime (fn. 1) archbishop of Dublin. Motu proprio reservation, (seeing that he has this day resigned the said church of Dublin to the pope, and that the pope has made provision thereof to Walter, elect of Dublin), of a yearly pension for life of 100l. of silver on the fruits etc. of the archiepiscopal mensa of Dublin, to be paid by Walter (who has consented) and by his successors, half at Easter and half at Michaelmas; with the usual sanctions for neglect or delay in payment, and mandate executory hereby to the bishop of Coventry and Lichfield and the bishop of Meath. The said archbishop has hereby indult to exercise pontifical offices in any cities and dioceses, with the consent of the ordinaries, and grant that he may publish citations against the said elect and his successors. in regard to the said pension, in the chapel royal of Pentisch in the diocese of London [sic], which shall be as binding as if they were personally made. To Donald Otuochyr, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (Laonien.). Motu proprio reservation to the pope's gift, for collation to him (who was dispensed by authority of the ordinary, on account of illegitimacy as the son of a priest and a married woman, to be promoted to minor orders and hold a benefice without cure, in virtue of which he has been so promoted), of a benefice with or without cure, even if an elective dignity etc. (but not a major nor a principal dignity), value 25 marks sterling if a benefice with cure or a dignity etc., or 18 if not, in the gift etc. of the bishop and the dean and chapter etc. of Killaloe; with mandate executory hereby to Richard Butillier, a canon of Cashel, and William Oduyguyn and Malachy Olanaganyn, canons of Killaloe. He is hereby dispensed to be promoted to all, even holy and priest's orders, and hold the said benefice, etc., notwithstanding the said defect, etc., and these presents are to hold good as if they had been granted under the date of 15 Kal.
