Mandate to collate and assign to Adam Gordon, priest, of the diocese of Moray, M.A., who is by both parents of noble race, a canonry of Ross and the prebend called de Concent therein, value 14l. sterling, void by the death extraR.c. of Henry Kynidy. To John Eduardson, a canon of Moray, M.A. Collation and provision of a canonry of Moray and the prebend called the prebend of Kyncardin therein, value 9l. sterling, void at the apostolic see, and therefore ipso facto reserved, by the resignation of Gilbert Kennedi made to the pope by his proctor Alexander Rat, a canon of Dunkeld. Litterarum scientia, vite ac morum.

6 Id. March. (10 March.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 39r.)	To the archdeacon of Clonfert. Mandate, as below. The pope has learned that a canonry of Kilmacduagh (Duacen.) and the prebend of Rymmara therein and the perpetual vicarage of Ardrahayn in the diocese of Kilmacduagh have been so long void that their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although David Odonchua, priest, detains possession of the said canonry and prebend, and Geoffrey Odonchua, priest, the said vicarage, without any title. And the [recent] petition of Florence Ylean, clerk, of the said diocese, contained that he has for about seven years been receiving by the hands of the present chancellor of Kilmacduagh the fruits etc. of the rectory of Kylcolgrin [sic] in the said diocese, of lay patronage, united for a certain time by authority of the ordinary to the chancellorship of Kilmacduagh for his benefit, in consequence of a bargain made with his knowledge by his father, the patron of the said rectory. The pope, therefore, with the consent of the proctors of the said Florence, David and Geoffrey, orders the above archdeacon to absolve the said Florence from excommunication, etc., incurred by the foregoing, enjoining a salutary penance, etc., and rehabilitate him, and thereupon, summoning the said David and Geoffrey, to collate and assign to him the said canonry and prebend, value 6 marks sterling, and the said vicarage, value 8, [whether] it be still void by the death of Nicholas Yduggilla extraR.c., or by his resignation or that of Thomas Micgillanomach (? recte Micgillauanach), otherwise a canon of the said church of Kilmacduagh, etc., or because the said Geoffrey held it (illam) for more than a year without having himself ordained priest; removing the said David and Geoffrey. Before he proceeds to execute these presents, the said Florence is to cease to receive the fruits of the said rectory. Sedis apostolice clementia. (At the end: N. xxviii. Decimo Kal. Motu proprio grant in commendam for life of the monastery of Osney, O.S.A., in the diocese of Lincoln, which is without an abbot through the promotion made by the pope this day of John, [archbishop] elect of Dublin. (fn. 2)Romani pontificis providentia.
	Concurrent letters to the convent and to the vassals of Osney— Hodie etc.; to the bishop of Lincoln—Ad cumulum; and to Edward, king of England—Gratie divine. (At the end: P. Gratis pro persona domini cardinalis. de Varris.) [2¾ pp.]

1473. 4 Non. June. (2 June.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 265v.)	To Master John de Ceretanis, a papal chaplain and auditor. Mandate, as below. The recent petition of Adam Gordon, priest, of the diocese of Moray, contained that on the voidance of the perpetual vicarage of Tarwas in the diocese of Aberdeen by the death of Walter Ydol extraR.c., the late Alexander Scrimgiour, clerk, accepted and got provision made to him in virtue of certain letters of Paul II [See Cal. Papal Letters, XI, p. 535]; that a dispute arose between him and John Pantoson, Walter Lyndesay, Alexander Abbyrco(m)me, and Thomas Carebrys, clerks, about the said vicarage, his said acceptance and provision of which they unlawfully opposed and hindered from taking effect, each of them alleging, as they still do, that it belonged to them; that the said pope committed the cause, although not lawfully devolved to the said court, to the above auditor, first at the instance of the said Walter Lyndesay, and afterwards at the instance of the said Alexander Scrimgiour; that after the said auditor had proceeded short of a conclusion, the said John by his proctor gave up the suit and all his right in or to the said vicarage to the said pope, who ordered the said auditor to surrogate the said Alexander Scrimgiour to the said John, and admit him to the said right, etc., and moreover to collate and assign to him the said vicarage; that in virtue of the said mandate, and in virtue of letters of the present pope drawn up in that behalf (those of the said pope not having been drawn up by reason of his death) the said auditor surrogated the said Alexander Scrimgiour, and admitted him, as above, and is said to have proceeded in the cause, short of a conclusion. Seeing that whilst the suit has been pending before him, the said Alexander Scrimgiour was received as a monk of St. Thomas the Martyr's, Abyrbrothos [sic], O.S.B., in the diocese of St. Andrews, and made his profession, and that he has since died extraR.c., wherefore all his right at the time of his profession became void, the pope hereby orders the said auditor to surrogate the said Adam in and to all the right which the said Alexander Scrimgiour had to the said vicarage at the time of his profession, etc., and admit him to the said right, etc., and moreover to collate and assign to him the said vicarage, value not exceeding 16l. sterling.
