1475. Kal. July. (1 July.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 30d.)	Confirmation of Innocent IV's grant of privileges to the prioress and sisters of San Sisto, Rome, O.S.A., living under the care and according to the institutes of the Friars Preachers, dated at the Lateran by the hand of James, a Friar Preacher, vice-chancellor of the Roman church, on Kal. March, indiction 2, in the year of the Incarnation 1243, anno 1, and mentioning amongst their possessions an annuity of 50 marks of rent on the profits of the church of Bamburgh (de Bamburgo), which belongs to the monastery of St. Oswald, Nostle, granted to them by pope Honorius with the consent of the sub-prior and cellarer, proctors of the said monastery, then in the Roman court. 15 Kal. July. (17 June.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 98r.)	To the archbishop of Patras (Patracen.), the provost of St. Salvator's at St. Andrews, and David Lewyngston’, canon of Glasgow. Mandate, at the recent petition of George Browne, priest, of the diocese of Brechin, M.A. (containing that on the voidance of the parish church of Auldcachy in the diocese of St. Andrews, of lay patronage, by the death of John Browne without the Roman court, Robert Laudre, lord of Auldcachy, the patron, presented the said George to William Schewes, vicar-general in spirituals of Patrick, archbishop of St. Andrews, who has refused to institute him; and adding that he doubts whether the said presentation holds good) to collate and assign to him the said church, value 9l. sterling. 1471. 8 Kal. Sept. (25 Aug.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 134r.)	Validation, as below. On the voidance in a certain way (not expressed) of the monastery of Abberbroyt, O.S.B. in the diocese of St. Andrews, Paul II, at the instance of Hugh Dowglas, clerk, of the said diocese, committed the cause about the voidance to Francis, cardinal deacon of S. Maria Nuova, to the end that provision thereof might be made to Hugh, but, although the cardinal caused the witnesses on Hugh's behalf to be examined, etc., pope Paul made provision to Richard Guthre. Subsequently the same pope, in consideration of the expenses incurred by Hugh (who was related to king James in the third and third degrees of kindred, was a nephew of the late James, bishop of St Andrews, and had then visited the Roman court for the third time, and had incurred many expenses before the said cardinal) dissolved on Prid. Kal. June anno 7 (31 May 1471), for Hugh's lifetime only, the union of the parish church of Abberneti in the diocese of Dunblane to the said monastery, and made collation and provision of it, value 50l. sterling, to Hugh. The said pope having died before his letters were drawn up, the pope hereby decrees that they shall hold good from the said date, and orders the bishop of Brechin, the prior of St. Andrews and the dean of Dunblane to execute them. Mandate to collate and assign to John Ruch, (fn. 1) priest, of the diocese of. St. Andrews, M.A., a canonry of Glasgow and the prebend of Ranfr[e]w, value 30l. sterling, void by the death of Duncan Bunch without the Roman court.
