Ratification of the provision of a canonry of Lincoln with reservation of a prebend that has been made to him; but as a provision of the same date, and of like import, was made to John de Podio Barzaco, and afterwards to other canons, there was a difficulty as to the next void prebend, which Raymund is to have next after John.

Mandate to hear the cause between the guardian and Friars Minors of Trim, and the prior and Friars Preachers of Molinger, touching the body of Rosina de Vardon, which she left to be buried at Trim, but which the prior and Friars Preachers refuse to give up.
1317. Kal. Nov. Avignon. (f. 25d.)	To the prior of Aichirde, in the diocese of Armagh, and the dean and official of Armagh. Mandate to decide the cause between the guardian and Friars Minors of Cragfergiis, in the diocese of Connor, who, by papal indult, have free sepulture, and William Aubrey and Florence de Ardin, Friars Preachers of Drachda, in the diocese of Armagh, touching the body of Thomas de Mandeville, knight, who was killed at a distance from his parish church, and could not be buried by reason of the power of his enemies. The prior of Drochda ordered William and Florence to take the body and bury it in their church, contrary to the will of the said knight, none of his ancestors having been buried there. If witnesses decline to appear they are to be compelled to make deposition. [Theiner, 197.]

Mandate to assign to Robert de Luffencham, the rectory of Alverchirche, in the diocese of Worcester, value 22l. void by the resignation of Simon de Walpole, who, as a pluralist, had no right to retain it; notwithstanding that Robert has provision made to him of a benefice in the gift of the bishop of Lincoln.
15 Kal. June. Avignon. (f. 40d.)	To Luke, cardinal of St. Mary's in Via Lata. Dispensation to accept a benefice given to him by the king or any other, in addition to those he has.
Ibid.	To Gaucelin, cardinal of SS. Marcellinus and Peter. Mandate to compel, without formal procedure, the prior and chapter of Winchester to make satisfaction to cardinal Luke of the unpaid yearly pension of 40 marks granted to him by the pope.

Mandate to assign to Ralph de Horncastro, of the diocese of Lincoln, the rectory of Beverston, value 20l. in that of Worcester, void by the cession of Adam de Eglesfeld, who held it as a pluralist without papal dispensation, notwithstanding that Ralph has provision made to him of a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of Westminster.

Kal. Sept. Avignon. (f. 55.)	To cardinals Gaucelin and Luke, papal nuncios. The faculty granted on the petition of queen Isabella, to give to her clerks, nominated by her, certain canonries and prebends in France, is now extracted from the register and re-sealed, with order to the cardinals to give one benefice apiece to the said clerks.

Mandate to replace Master Pandulph de Sabello, papal notary and subdeacon in the canonry and prebend of Newbald in York, void by the death of Ancharius, cardinal of St. Praxed's, of which he has been despoiled by Richard de Comubia, who has received from the same 160 marks, and who has been condemned to pay that sum as well as 200 florins for expenses incurred by Master Pandulph; but the dean and chapter; have for three years disregarded this sentence; wherefore Richard is to be removed, and due restitution and satisfaction made to Pandulph.
