To Edmund, son of the late king Edward, earl of Kent, and Margaret, countess of Kent. Licence to commute their vow to visit Santiago [de Compostella]. Edmund's mother, queen Margaret, made a vow to visit the same, but died soon after making it, whereupon her son took her vow on himself; but as he is in Gascony and has learned that plots are laid against him in Spain he is unable to go there. The expenses of the journey are to be given to Santiago, and Edmund's and Margaret's confessor is to impose a penance.
