Touching money collected by Itherius de Concreto, papal nuncio, and paid over to members of their society in England for the papal camera. Picavus de Gordis, merchant of Avignon, who is sent by the said camera to Flanders and Brabant to buy cloth, needs 3000 florins, which the said society or their factors in those parts are to pay over to him, deducting the same from the money collected in England and received by them, for which said sum this letter is an acknowledgment.

Acknowledging the receipt of 493l. 7s. 2d. being the sum of 16l. 13s. 4d. of the fruits of void benefices, 10l. of the second year's tenth, and 466l. 13s. 10d. of the third year's tenth, collected by him in England, Wales, and Ireland, and paid over on 24th September last to Paul Bertaldi, of the society of the Azayali, dwelling in England, and by him assigned to John Nigri of the said society, in the sum of 3115 florins 3s., at the rate of 3s. 2d. a florin, 3000 florins of which were deducted and paid to Picavus de Gordis, merchant of Avignon, sent to Flanders and Brabant to buy cloth, leaving the balance of 115 florins 3s., paid to Cambinus Carini of the said firm, at the Roman court, for the papal camera.

To Bertrand Cariti and Raymund de Quercu, acknowledging the receipt of 1006 marks 40d. of the fruits of void benefices in Scotland, collected by them, and paid over in two sums, namely, to John Francisci, of the society of the Bardi, 4000 florins on 6th October last, and to Nicholas Bindi Ferrucii, of the said firm, 600 florins on this day, for the papal camera.

Acknowledging the receipt of 1000 marks, of the third year's tenth, collected by him, and paid over on 28th November last, to Ateritus de Portinariis, of the society of the Bonacursi of Florence, dwelling in England, and by him assigned in the sum of 4210 florins, 20d., as appears in an instrument by Colin Draperii, notary public of the diocese of Auxerre, to Matthew Villani of the said society, and paid on this day, for the papal camera.

Acknowledging the receipt of 1333l. 6s. 8d. of the tenth, of the fruits of void benefices, of Peter's pence, of the yearly cess, of Holy Land legacies, and other money collected by him in England, Wales, and Ireland, and paid over on 11th March last, to Aceritus de Portinariis, of the society of the Bonacursi, dwelling in England, and by him assigned in the sum of 8421 florins 2d. at the rate of 3s. 2d. a florin, to Matthew Villani, of the said society, at the Roman court, for the papal camera.

1332. 9 Kal. Nov. Avignon. (f. 69.)	To John de Leys, canon of Glasgow, Malcolm de Inverpeffri, canon of Dunblane, and Thomas de Hadington, vicar of Marchinche, in the diocese of St. Andrews. Acknowledging the receipt of 1600 florins, and a gold ring with a ruby, out of a legacy of 2000 florins and the ring bequeathed to the pope by James, bishop of St. Andrews; the sum of 1600 florins and the ring having been sent by them, the executors, to the pope during the lifetime of the said bishop. 1332. 4 Kal. Jan. (f. 101.)	To Master Raymund de Chameraco, canon of Marseilles, papal nuncio. Mandate to take no proceedings without consulting the pope, touching a sum of money from the goods of Garcias, late bishop of Dax, reserved to the pope, which has come into the hands of the officers of king Edward. The pope relaxes the interdict under which, in order to recover the said money, the archbishop of Bordeaux has been placed by the nuncio.
1333. 5 Kal. Mar. Avignon. (f. 101.)	To the same. Commission and mandate, on the petition of Oliver de Inghmam, seneschal of Gascony, to give him, security being taken, until next Michaelmas to make satisfaction for a sum of 3000 pounds of Bordeaux, reserved to the pope from the goods of the late bishop of Dax, and to free him, his wife and family, from the penalties and sentences laid on them by the nuncio.
1332. 18 Kal. Oct. Avignon. (f. 115d.)	To Itherius de Concoreto, papal nuncio. In answer to his representation touching the valuation of benefices in the dioceses of Durham and Carlisle, and part of the diocese of York, the pope replies that if these benefices have not fully recovered from the dilapidation caused by war, they may be taxed for the four years’ tenth at a lower valuation than hitherto; a new taxation for the tenth having been made under the late, and continued under the present king, by which the said benefices were valued at 2000l. less than before.
Ibid. (f. 116.)	To the same. As the king has taken nothing in regard of the four year's tenth from the benefices of cardinals in England, so neither is the nuncio to take anything from them for the papal camera, but he is to use diligence in collecting the fruits of void benefices.
3 Non. Nov. (f. 116.)	To the bishop of Lincoln. Mandate to ascertain the facts touching the alleged leprosy of Richard, abbot of St. Albans, and the consequent injury to the monastery, and to report them to the pope.
7 Kal. Jan. (f. 116.)	To Itherius de Concoreto, papal nuncio. Directing him to admit the society of the Azayali to a share of the business, touching money transmitted to the papal camera, hitherto in the hands of the Bardi and Perusii alone.
1333. 7 Id. Jan. (f. 116.)	To the same. Mandate to assign to Andrew and Aceritus de Portinariis, of the society of the Bonacursi, of Florence, a sum of 2000 marks, out of money collected in England [Wales and Ireland], to be paid in florins at the rate of 38d. a florin, according to the agreement lately made between the papal camera and Bandinus Lapi de Bonacursis, Matthew Villani, and Nicholas Alberti, of the said society.
1333. 6 Id. May. (f. 116d.)	To the same. Mandate to the same effect, according to a like agreement made this day with Matthew Villani.
6 Id. Jan. Avignon. (f. 116d.)	To the king. Commending Anthony Passaingne, knight, who has transacted the king's business with the pope as a faithful and zealous, not to say importunate agent, and namely, touching the procurations of Richard de Prato, and Simon de Monte Acuto.
5 Kal. Feb. (f. 116d.)	To the same. Requesting him not to believe the report that, on account of what Itherius de Concoreto, canon of Salisbury, the nuncio, has written to the pope, the king's business has suffered delay.
2 Id. Oct. (f. 117.)	To the bishop of Lincoln. Requesting him to be favourable to Hugolinus, son of Paul de Adigheriis, of Parma, touching a canonry and prebend of Lincoln, provision of which has lately been made to him by the pope.

May, ordering him to assign to the society of the Bonacursi of Florence, or their factors in England, according to the agreement made between the papal camera and Matthew Villani, member of the said society, a sum of 2000 marks to be paid to the said camera in gold florins of Florence, at the rate of 38d. a florin.

Mandate to assign to Gerald Othonis, and Arnold de Sancto Michaele, masters of theology, the sum of seven florins a day while they remain in those parts in discharge of their mission, beyond the term of two months, for which their expenses have been provided.
Non. Sept. (f. 208d.)	To Gerald Othonis, minister general of the Friars Minors, and Arnold de Sancto Michaele, of the order of Friars Preachers, papal plenipotentiary, professors of theology. Mandate to betake themselves to England and to Scotland, and to induce the kings of those realms to make peace; granting them faculties to dissolve all pacts and conventions contrary to the said peace, and to relax oaths taken in opposition to it. The pope has received his ambassadors, Master Richard de Bury, dean of Wells, and John de Schordich, knight; and is prepared to give a favourable answer to the petitions presented by them. As to that touching the realm of Scotland, it was not expedient to bring it forward in consistory. The pope begs the king to excuse the delay caused by the multiplicity of business, and the shortness of time for preaching the crusade.

Mandate to return to the pope, seeing that by their letters their going to England would be useless. Gerald, however, may go to England or elsewhere on business of his order.

The sum is to be paid over to the factors of the said society dwelling in England, and an instrument is to be drawn up certifying the said assignment.
