Extension of a dispensation, on account of illegitimacy, so that he may hold an additional benefice, provided that he resign the said church.

Mandate touching Master Robert de Turre de Adria, canon of Salisbury, papal writer, against Thomas de Hatfelt, rector of Tarring, who is said to have violated the sequestration, made by papal authority, of the fruits of the prebend of Bere and Cherminster, in Salisbury, void by the consecration of Robert, bishop of Chichester, and reserved by Benedict XII. to Master Robert, who was litigating about it in the Roman court against Walter de Wyvil, treasurer of Salisbury. If this is the case, the sequestration is to be renewed, and Thomas is to be cited to appear before the pope.

Mandate to cite William de Northwell to appear before the pope touching his violation of the sequestration made after three sentences at the Roman court in favour of John de Denton, canon of Southwell, of the prebend of Northwell, void by the death of Elias de Contone, reserved to Denton by John XXII. and unlawfully held by John de Thorpsey, William having caused himself to be intruded into the prebend, and having resisted John de Risle and John de Melton, who were putting Thomas de Lisingren, John's proctor, in possession.

Indult, at the request of queen Isabella, that he shall be allowed to remain in the place of the Friars Minors in London, where he now is, and have a decent room therein for his life, and a companion of the said order, with a clerk and two servants at his disposal, and have his books about him, and other things which he had from the said queen, in whose service he was for sixteen years, he being now infirm and nearly blind. If necessary, he may transfer himself to any other English house of the order.

Mandate to dispense William de la Hulle, acolyte, so that he may be promoted to higher orders and hold a benefice, notwithstanding that he struck John Bracon, a layman, who was fighting against his brothers, John and Robert, by whom Bracon was afterwards killed.

Mandate, on petition of queen Philippa, to appropriate to the hospital of St. Katherine by the Tower of London the church of St. Peter, Northampton, with the annexed chapels of Kingsthorp and Upton, value 30 marks, of which the warden of the said hospital by the Tower of London has the right of Patronage by gift of king Edward. William de Kildesby, the warden, has begun to build a fair church in the said hospital.

Mandate to inform themselves touching Thomas de Hatfelt, rector of Tarring, and cite him to appear in person before the pope, for having procured himself to be intruded by secular power into the prebend of Bere and Cherminster in Salisbury, which Master Robert de Turre de Adria, canon of the same, obtained by letters of Benedict XII. and about which he has obtained three sentences in the Roman court against Walter de Wivil, who, as treasurer of the said church, was contesting the same, and for having violated the sequestration placed by apostolic authority on the fruits of the said church.
