Mandate to receive Richard Went's proposed resignation of his perpetual vicarage of Kynsall in the diocese of Cork, and to collate and assign it, value not exceeding 40 marks, to John Corre, rector of Kylmyd in the said diocese, collector to the camera in the cities and dioceses of Cork and Ross; notwithstanding that John holds the said rectory and holds perpetual benefices without cure in the diocese of Cork, one [in] the church of Rosomunli, and another in the church of Balemmolan, and another, called a rectory in lay fee, in the church of Kylmo, and that the pope has lately [f. 75d.] ordered provision to be made to him of the canonry and prebend of Lyskleri in Cork, value altogether not exceeding 18 marks. Upon obtaining the vicarage he is, as he has offered, to resign his rectory. The treasurer is to see that there be no simony on the part of John and Richard. Vite etc.
2 Non. Oct. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 56.)	To John Possewyk, clerk, of Rome. Reservation, at the petition of Henry, bishop of Tusculum, a member of whose household he is, of the parish church of St. Columba, the abbot, Clonmore, in the diocese of Armagh, value not exceeding 30 marks, to become void by the provision, made by the pope to, and the approaching consecration of Richard, elect of Cork. John, whose parents were English, says that he understands the tongue spoken by the parishioners and can speak it intelligibly.Vite etc.

Mandate to collate and assign to John Corre, rector of Kylmid in the diocese of Cork, the canonry and prebend—of the patronage of laymen, and by its foundation ordinance in the presentation of its founders and their heirs and successors—of Liscleri in Cork, value not exceeding 8 marks, so long void by the death of William Wynchedon that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see; notwithstanding that he holds the said church and holds perpetual benefices without cure in the diocese of Cork, one in the church of Rosomu[n]ly, another in the church of Balemmolan and another, [called a rectory in lay fee], in the church of Kylmo, value altogether not exceeding 10 marks. Id. May. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 79d.)	To Geoffrey Crukadan, rector of Tadmerton in the diocese of Lincoln, licentiate of civil law. Reservation to him, who is also bachelor of canon law, of the canonry and prebend of Bitton in Salisbury, value not exceeding 60 marks, shortly to become void by the promotion made by the pope to, and the approaching consecration of Robert, elect of York; notwithstanding that he holds the said church, value not exceeding 20 marks, and that the pope has recently made provision to him of a canonry of Chichester with expectation of a prebend and dignity, even if major, personatus or office, with or without cure. Non. June. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 81d.)	To Edmund, bishop of Exeter. Mandate, if he find the facts to be as stated, to collate and assign to Benedict Canterbiri, rector of Cambron in the diocese of Exeter, B.C.L., a canonry and prebend of Exeter, as below, value not exceeding 6 marks. Boniface IX, on 18 Kal. Dec. anno 1 [1389], made provision to him of a canonry of Exeter with reservation of a prebend and dignity, personatus or office, with or without cure, to be accepted by him, as usual, within a certain time, executors being deputed. Afterwards pope Boniface, on 4 Kal. May anno 5 [1394, in Ottenthal, Regulæ Cancellariæ Apost. (Bonif. IX, No. 48)] ordained that all who accepted any benefices under expectative graces should be bound to cause provision to be made to them within a month after their acceptance, otherwise such acceptance and the graces themselves should be void. Subsequently, as Benedict's recent petition to the present pope contained, upon the resignation to bishop Edmund by the late Roger Waldene of his canonry and prebend of Exeter, Benedict accepted them under the said letters, within the lawful time, but, on account of a certain statute [Præmunire] which was put forth in England before such voidance and acceptance, and the consequent peril of death or imprisonment or loss of goods, he did not dare to cause provision to be made to him. The collation is to be made notwithstanding the above ordinance, and pope Boniface's revocation on 11 Kal. Jan. anno 14 [1402, see ibid. No. 68] of all expectative graces made by him, etc.; and that Benedict holds the said church and a canonry and prebend of St. Thomas's, Glosney, in the said diocese, value together not exceeding 60 marks. Id. May. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 97d.)	To John Luck, rector of Ufcolmp in the diocese of Exeter, S.T.B. Reservation of the canonry and prebend of Godyngton Magna in London, value not exceeding 30 marks, shortly to become void by the promotion made by the pope, and the approaching consecration of Nicholas, elect of London; notwithstanding that he holds the said church, value not exceeding 60 marks, and, under letters of the present pope, a canonry of Exeter with expectation of a prebend and dignity, even if with cure, major and elective, personatus or office. Ibid. (f. 106)	To Thomas Hendeman, rector of Sanforde Corteneye in the diocese of Exeter, S.T.M. Reservation to him, who was lately chancellor of the university of Oxford, of the parish church of Clyve in the diocese of Worcester, value not exceeding 200 marks, shortly to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and the approaching consecration of Nicholas, elect of London; notwithstanding that he lately received papal dispensation to hold for life with his deanery of St. Karentoc, which is a dignity with cure, two other benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if elective dignities, major or principal and unique respectively, personatus, administrations or offices, with or without cure, in metropolitan, cathedral or collegiate churches, or if parish churches or perpetual vicarages, and if requiring continuous personal residence, and to resign it and them as often as he pleased, for exchange or otherwise, and hold instead three similar or dissimilar incompatible benefices, after which dispensation he obtained Sanforde Corteneye, the value of which and his deanery does not exceed 80 marks; that he has gained a definitive sentence in the apostolic palace about the third portion, value not exceeding 50 marks, of the parish church of Wodesdon in the diocese of Lincoln, which has three rectors, of which portion he has not yet obtained possession; and that the pope has made provision to him of a canonry of Exeter with expectation of a prebend and dignity, even if with cure, major and elective, personatus or office, and required him, upon obtaining such dignity or personatus, to resign any two of the said four incompatible benefices, as he himself offered to do in respect of his deanery and Sanforde Corteneye. Upon obtaining Clyve under these presents, he is to resign his deanery and the said portion and all right to such portion, as he has also offered, and he is to hold the remaining three incompatible benefices for two years only, and meanwhile to resign any one of them for another benefice compatible with the remaining two; otherwise he is thereafter to resign Sanforde Corteneye. Mandate to reserve to Neemeas Machoydan, clerk, of the diocese of Ardagh, who is in or about his twentieth year, according to his fitness in Latin, a benefice with or without cure, or a benefice without cure only, wont to be served by secular clerks, value not exceeding 25 marks with cure or 18 without, in the common or several gift of the bishop and dean and chapter of Ardagh and the Cistercian abbess (sic) and convent of Lochseuedi in the diocese of Meath, provided that it be not a canonry and prebend in a cathedral church. Neemeas is hereby dispensed, on account of his defect of age, to hold a benefice with cure. Dignum [arbitramur].

Mandate to reserve to Henry Appulgarth, rector of a moiety of Beltesford in the diocese of Lincoln, priest, a benefice as above, f. 160, in the like gift of the bishop and the dean and chapter and each of the canons and persone of Lincoln, provided that it be not a canonry and prebend in a cathedral church: notwithstanding that he holds the said moiety, value not exceeding 15 marks, which, upon obtaining such benefice with cure, he is to resign.
