To John Were, bachelor of canon law. Collation and provision to him, who says he is of royal blood and a kinsman of Robert, governor of the realm of Scotland, and of Archibald earl of Douglas, of a canonry of Glasgow, with reservation of a prebend and dignity etc. and of a benefice with or without cure, wont to be assigned to secular clerks, even if a dignity etc., value not exceeding 25 marks sterling if it have cure or be a dignity etc., or 18 if not, in the gift of the bishop and the prior and chapter of St. Andrews; notwithstanding that he holds the parish church of Line in the diocese of Glasgow, value not exceeding 20 marks of old sterlings, together with which he is hereby dispensed to hold such dignity etc. for seven years, during which he is to exchange one of them for a benefice compatible with the other, etc. Nobilitas generis, litterarum etc.

Collation and provision of a canonry of Aberdeen, with reservation of a prebend and dignity etc., and of a benefice, with or without cure, wont to be assigned to secular clerks, value not exceeding 40l. sterling, in the gift of the abbot and convent of Dunfermlyn, O.S.B., in the diocese of St. Andrews; notwithstanding that he holds the perpetual vicarage of Kilmay in the said diocese, value not exceeding 10l., which upon obtaining such dignity etc. he is to resign. Collation and provision to him, who is a priest and has been for about four years official of Dunkeld, of a canonry of Aberdeen and another of Moray, with reservation of a prebend of each and a dignity etc. of one of them; notwithstanding that he holds together for life by papal dispensation the perpetual vicarage of Stramyglo in the diocese of Dunkeld and the precentorship of Dunkeld, a non-major dignity wtth cure, and holds also a canonry and prebend of Dunkeld, value altogether not exceeding 45l. of old sterlings. Mandate to make provision to Donald Macnachtane, treasurer of Dunkeld, M.A. (who lately had papal dispensations, first, as the son of an unmarried nobleman and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, and afterwards to hold any mutually compatible benefices of any number and kind, with or without cure, and to resign them, simply or for exchange; who is also a bachelor of canon law and is in his third year of lecturing on canon law in the university of St. Andrews), of a canonry of Aberdeen, and to reserve to him a prebend and a dignity etc.; notwithstanding that he holds the treasurership of Dunkeld, a non-major dignity with cure, value not exceeding 20l. of old sterlings, which he is to resign on obtaining such dignity etc. Dignum etc. (Franciscus. xxii.
