To the bishop of Bath. Mandate to collate and assign to Edmund Nicol, rector of Chemmyngfood in the diocese of Lincoln, the canonry and prebend of St. Davids, value not exceeding 20 marks, which have become void, and therefore reserved to the apostolic see, by the death there of William Chichele, who was also an apostolic notary; notwithstanding that he holds the said church, value not exceeding 80 marks. To the abbot of Petra, Kilmacduagh. Mandate to collate and assign to Laurence Okaellaygy, priest, of the diocese of Killaloe (who lately received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice even with cure, after which dispensation he obtained by authority of the ordinary a perpetual portion with cure in the collegiate church of Hynyskathyd in the said diocese), the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 8 marks, of Seanguala in the diocese of Limerick, so long void, because Laurence Okaellaygy, who obtained it on its voidance by the death of Philip Makekathayn, held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation, that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see; Thomas Okaellaygy, priest, of the diocese of Killaloe, who has unduly detained possession for more than two years, being removed; notwithstanding that the said Laurence, priest, holds the said portion, value not exceeding 6 gold ducats, with which he is hereby dispensed to hold the said vicarage for life, and notwithstanding that his father was his immediate predecessor in the said portion. Mandate to collate and assign to Matthew Ohuony, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (who lately received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc. as in the preceding), the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 3 marks, of Inysdagrum in the said diocese, void by the death of Dermit Ohuony; Roderick Omuluyn, priest, of the same diocese, who without any canonical institution has detained possession for more than five years, being removed. Mandate to collate and assign to Rory (Ruogricus) Maghamrughan, clerk, of the diocese of Kilmore, who is of a race of dukes, the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 8 marks, of Inisbrechirnigy alias Tempullapuyrt in the said diocese, void by the death of Andrew Magamrugan, removing Nemeas Magyum, priest, of the same diocese, who has unduly detained possession for more than six years without canonical title; whether it be void as above, or by the death of Magonius Maghamrughan, or in any other way. To William Pencrych, bachelor of canon and civil law. Collation and provision of the chancellorship of Aberghwyly in the diocese of St. Davids, an office without cure and nonelective, value, together with its annexed canonry and prebend of Lambestre, not exceeding 100 marks, void, and therefore reserved to the apostolic see by the death there of William Chychele, who was also an apostolic notary; notwithstanding that he holds by papal dispensation the parish church of Blakedon in the diocese of Bath, and the archdeaconry of St. Davids, which is a non-major dignity with cure, also canonries and prebends of Exeter and St. Probus, in the diocese of Exeter, value not exceeding 26, 100, 6 and 6 marks respectively. Mandate to collate and assign to Nicholas Capron, rector of Kingston Magna in the diocese of Salisbury, the parish church of Wittrisham in the diocese of Canterbury, value not exceeding 30 marks, void by the resigna- tion to archbishop Henry of Henry Penneworth[a]m; notwithstanding that he holds the above church of Kyngston Magna, value not exceeding 20 marks, and that the pope lately [above, p. 285] dispensed him to hold for seven years therewith any other benefice with cure [or otherwise incompatible], and to resign both, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased.
