1432. 2 Non. Aug. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 3d.)	To the official of Brechin. Mandate, at the petition of David de Crannach, canon of Dunkeld (containing that William de Croyser, a papal acolyte and a member of the pope's household, in his cause long ventilated in the apostolic palace before divers auditors against James. Lyndesay, clerk, of the diocese of St. Andrews, about the parish church of Arbuthnoth in the said diocese, provision of which had been made to William by papal authority on its voidance by the death of Edward de Lawedre, obtained three definitive sentences by which the church was adjudged to him and perpetual silence imposed on James), to collate and assign to the said David the said church, value not exceeding 50 marks sterling, void at the apostolic see and therefore reserved, by the resignation made this day to the pope by the said William, without having had possession, and without the said sentences having been executed, the said David being inducted, as if the said sentences had been delivered on his behalf; notwithstanding that provision was recently ordered to be made to David of a canonry and prebend of Dunkeld, with the subdeanery thereof, an office without cure (simplex officium), value not exceeding 10l. sterling. 5 Non. Oct. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 13.)	To the bishop of Clonmacnoise, the prior of Galyng in the diocese of Clonmacnoise, and Florence Ostruthain, canon of Clonmacnoise. Mandate—the pope having been informed by Maurice Macaedagain, canon of Clonmacnoise, that Fergallus Oglasdeirg, priest, of the diocese of Clonmacnoise, simonically paid money to Maurianus Magruaric in order that he should resign his perpetual vicarage of Lochlua in the said diocese, after which he caused the said vicarage to be collated to him, and has unduly detained it for more than a year—if Maurice will accuse Fergallus before them, to summon Fergallus, and if they find the above to be true, to declare the said collation null and remove Fergallus, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, of the patronage of laymen and value not exceeding 24 marks, to Maurice, whether it be void by the said resignation, or by the death of Maurianus Ydalaig, or in any other way, provided that the said patrons consent; notwithstanding that Maurice holds a canonry and prebend of Clonmacnoise, value not exceeding 1 mark. Mandate—the pope having been informed by Charles Offlannagan, clerk, of the diocese of Elphin, that Morianus Offlannagan, canon of Elphin, has dilapidated the goods of his prebend of Clanconchubur alias Baslich and, a noorious fornicator, keeps his offspring in his own house (notorius fornicator [existens] prolem quam suscitauit in suo fouens lare gradientem) and otherwise leads a very dissolute life—if the said Charles, who is by both parents of noble race, will accuse Morianus before them, to summon Morianus, and if they find the above or enough thereof to be true, to deprive Morianus, and in that event to made provision to Charles of a canonry of the said church, and to collate and assign to him the said prebend, value, with that of the canonry, not exceeding 12 marks.Nobilitas etc. (Ja. and N. 14 Kal. Dec. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 21d.)	To John Wincestre, canon of Aberdeen, bachelor of canon law. Reservation, for collation to him, a priest, of the about to become void perpetual vicarage of Markynche in the diocese of St. Andrews and hospital without cure of St. Nicholas near the city of St. Andrews, which is wont to be assigned as a perpetual benefice to secular clerks, value not exceeding 17l. and 7l. sterling respectively, which the pope recently required John Feldew to resign, as he also offered, upon his obtaining, in virtue of the pope's mandate of provision, the perpetual vicarage of Lynlethcu in the said diocese; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry and a prebend, of lay patronage, of Aberdeen, is litigating in the Roman court about a canonry and prebend of Glasgow, of which he is in possession, and about the parish church of Kylmani in the said diocese, that provision has been granted to him by papal authority of a canonry and prebend of Moray and the said vicarage of Lynlithcu, value not exceeding 30, 15, 60, 30 and 30l. sterling respectively, and that the pope has made provision to him of a canonry of Ross and another of Moray with reservation of as many prebends and of a dignity etc. of one of those churches, even if elective and with cure. Upon obtaining, in virtue of these presents, the said vicarage of Markynche he is to resign Kylmani, if he win it meanwhile, or give up his suit and right, and the said letters in regard to such dignity etc., and the said grant in regard to Lynlithcu shall be null. Mandate to collate and assign to Eugenius Magondgail, priest, of the diocese of Raphoe, the perpetual vicarage of Mibhach in the said diocese. value not exceeding 6 marks, so long void by the death of Cristin Ofianula that its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, summoning and removing Roger Ofianula, priest, of the said diocese, who has unduly detained it for about six years under pretext of a collation by authority of the ordinary made after the said lapse. Mandate to collate and assign to Alan Ohuolloccayn, clerk, of the diocese of Ross (who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman related in the fourth degree of kindred, (i) to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, (ii) having been tonsured, to receive and hold a canonry and the prebend of Kyllmeana and Killcharrind in Ross, provision of which was granted to him), the perpetual vicarage of Kylldeochonynac in the said diocese, of the patronage of laymen and value not exceeding 8 marks, void by the death of Gilbert Ohuolloccayn; notwithstanding that the pope recently granted him provision of the said canonry and prebend, value not exceeding 6 marks. Mandate—the pope having been informed by John Ocearbollan, rector of Crapach (rectius Ceapach) in the diocese of Derry, that Matthew Macabaird Oceallaid, rector of Furnage in the said diocese, has dilapidated goods thereof, is a notorious concubinary (concubinarius), and has committed perjury—if the said John (who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc., as in the preceding, and who, having been afterwards tonsured, obtained the said church of Crapach) will accuse Matthew before him, to summon Matthew (on account of whose power John has no hope of obtaining justice in the city and diocese of Derry), and if he find the above or enough thereof to be true, to deprive Matthew, and in that event to collate and assign the said rectory, value not exceeding 10 marks, to John; notwithstanding that he holds the said church of Crapach, value not exceeding 6 marks. Mandate to collate and assign to Dermit Oscanlayn, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert (who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman related in the third and third degrees of kindred, to be promoted etc. as above, f. 44), a canonry of Ardfert and the prebend of Mohychir therein, value not exceeding 2 marks, void by the death of David Yconchuyr. Mandate to collate and assign to David de Burgo, perpetual vicar of Achauur in the diocese of Tuam (who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of a married nobleman and an unmarried woman (i) to be promoted etc. as above, f. 44, (ii) having in virtue thereof obtained the said vicarage, to receive and hold for life one other benefice, even incompatible with the said first benefice, in virtue of which latter dispensation he obtained the rectory of Clanchoan in the said diocese), the canonry and prebend of Faudomayn in Tuam, value not exceeding 5 marks, void because Thomas de Burgo alias Iubayn obtained another canonry and prebend in the same church by authority of the ordinary, the said Thomas, who has unduly detained the above canonry and prebend for several years, being summoned and removed; notwithstanding that David holds the said vicarage and rectory, value together not exceeding 12 marks. Mandate to collate and assign to Odo Maccrayth, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe, of noble race, the canonry and prebend of Inyscathayg in Killaloe, value not exceeding 30 marks, so long void by the death of Nemeas Okaellay that their collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, summoning and removing Robert Okaellay, priest, of the said diocese, who took possession without any canonical title or right, and has unduly detained them for more than five, but less than seven years; whether they be void as stated, or because Roderick Maccrayth has made his profession as an Augustinian canon of Clare, or in any other way.Nobilitas etc. (Ja. and P. de Montella. \| Ja. xxiiii. Mandate to collate and assign to Robert de Macgillequhaillum, rector of Lundeffe in the diocese of Dunkeld, the canonry and prebend of Monythi in Dunkeld, value not exceeding 20l. sterling, void by the resignation to bishop Robert of Thomas de Cardony, summoning and removing John de Faukland, priest, of the diocese of St. Andrews, who has unduly detained for more than four months without canonical title possession of the same, provision whereof was otherwise made by papal authority to the said Robert; whether they be void as stated, or by the resignation of Richard de Creffe, or in any other way, and notwithstanding that Robert holds the said church, value not exceeding 20 marks sterling.
