The pope hereby dispenses Matthew to receive and hold the said rectory and with it two, or without it three other compatible benefices with and without cure, and to resign the said vicarage, rectory and benefices, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases, and hold instead four other compatible benefices, notwithstanding the said defect etc. Vite etc. (An. and B. de Monte. | An. xx. Prid. Non. Jan. St. Peter's, Rome
(f. 115.)
To John de Renfr[e]w, priest, of the diocese of Glasgow. Rehabilitation, at his recent petition containing that formerly (after he had been dispensed by papal authority, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, and thereafter had been so promoted and obtained the rectory of Kyrkpatryk in the said diocese) he, without having obtained any other dispensation on account of the said defect, exchanged the said rectory for Archibald de Wilyamstown's perpetual vicarage of Erskyn in the said diocese, the exchange being carried out by bishop John by his ordinary authority, under pretext of which he has detained possession of the said vicarage for more than two years but less than three. He is to resign it. Sedes apostolica pia mater. (An. and F. de Laude. | An. xvi. de Adria.)

Siena
(f. 152d.)
To the priors of St. Mary's, Monaincha (de Insula Vivencium), and Lorrha (Fontis vivi de Lochra), in the diocese of Killaloe, and the archdeacon of Hainaut in Lié ge. Mandate as below. The recent petition of Eugenius Ytroighith alias Waithne, priest, of the diocese of Killaloe, contained that after Martin V had reserved to himself and his successors the absolution from all sentences etc. incurred by simonry he, to whom provision had been made by authority of the ordinary of the perpetual vicarage of Birra in the said diocese, gave up for a sum of money to a certain priest all right therein or thereto, without having had possession of the vicarage, thereby incurring the said sentences etc.; and that subsequently upon the voidance, by the death without the Roman court of Donatus Odiuluy, of the perpetual vicarage of Roscumruadh in the same diocese, James, [now] bishop in the universal church, then of Killaloe, perhaps ignorant of the said incurring (incursus), made provision thereof to the said Eugenius, who was bound by the said sentences etc., under pretext of which collation and provision he obtained the said vicarage of Roscumruadh and is still in possession. The pope therefore orders the above to absolve Eugenius from the said sentences etc., enjoining penance, dispense him on account of irregularity, and rehabilitate him. Before they proceed to execute these presents he is to resign the said vicarage of Roscumruadh. Solet apostolice sedis clemencia. (Chri. and G. de Elten. | Chri. xvi. Coronen.) [21/5 pp.]
Ibid.
(f. 153d.)
To the same. Mandate, recapitulating the preceding (here with the spelling 'Otroighith'), seeing that the above later collation and provision are without force, and that the above vicarage of Roscumruadh is still void as above, after they have absolved etc. as above, to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 5 marks sterling, to the above Eugenius; whether it be void as above, or by the death of Kyranus Ymanaidhchan without the Roman court or by the resignation of the late John Ycunan, or in any other way. Hodie pro parte Eugenii. [Chri] (fn. 4) and Francho[m]me. | Chri. xx. Undecimo Kal. Septembris Anno Terciodecimo. Coronen.) [3¾ pp.]
5 Id. Aug.
Siena
(f. 159.)
To Donatus, elect of Killaloe. Grant to him, to whom the present pope recently made provision of the said church, and who at the time of the said provision was in his twentyeighth year, and who is of noble race, that the said provision shall hold good; with dispensation to exercise the administration in spirituals and temporals, etc., notwithstanding the said defect of age. Divina supereminens largitas. (An. and G. de Elten. | An. xxx. de Adria.)
6 Id. June.
Siena
(f. 159d.)
To the dean, the precentor and the treasurer of Exeter. Mandate as below. Lately, upon its being set forth to the present pope by all the parishioners of the parish church of Ilferdecombe in the diocese of Exeter that they had built in the cemetery of the said church a chapel in honour and under the name of St. Mary the Virgin de Thorn, wherein the Most High worked many miracles by the merits of the said Virgin, wherefore many oblations and alms were offered there, and that they feared lest the said alms etc. should be converted to his own uses by the rector of the said church (who, it was added, could be becomingly maintained from the fruits etc. of the said church, value about 100 marks sterling a year) the pope, thus circumvented, granted that a fourth part of all the said oblations and alms, and also of all legacies and donations etc. pertaining to the said chapel, might be converted to its fabric and ornaments, provided that the parishioners contributed a like amount, and inhibited the rector of the said church to ask or take any of the said oblations etc., or interfere therewith, as is more fully contained in a certain petition signed by the pope or by his order. At the recent petition of John Morton, rector of the said church, containing that the above addition is not true and that the said grant is greatly and manifestly prejudicial to the said church and rector, and that dissensions and scandals will probably arise, the pope hereby orders the above to summon the said parishioners and others concerned, and if they find the said rector's statement true, to annul the said grant and any papal letters about it which they may find, and its consequences, etc. Intentus semper salutis operibus. (An. and G. de Elten. | An. xx. de Adria.)

(f. 179d.)
To Thady Macconmara, priest, of the diocese of Killaloe. Rehabilitation as below. His recent petition contained that Martin V ordered the bishop of Kilmacduagh to collate and assign to him, then holding the archdeaconry of Killaloe, a non-major dignity with cure, the rectory, of lay patronage, of Cunky alias Okassyn in the diocese of Killaloe, void by the death without the Roman court of Nicholas Mac[c]onmara, the said pope dispensing him to hold both for life, after which the late John, bishop of Kilmacduagh made to him collation and provision of the said rectory. At his said petition, adding that he is the son of unmarried parents related in the double fourth degree of kindred, and that he had been dispensed by papal authority to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold the said archdeaconry, of which there is no mention in the said mandate, and that under pretext thereof and of the said collation and provision he obtained the said rectory and has held it and the said archdeaconry together for several years, the pope hereby rehabilitates him, requiring him to resign both. Sedes apostolica, pia mater. (Chri. and G. de Elten. | Chri. xvi. Coronen.) [1½ pp. See Cal. Lett. VIII, p. 123.]
Ibid.
(f. 180d.)
To the dean and Patrick Odubgilla and William Ocorcracyn (sic), canons, of Kilmacduagh. Mandate, recapitulating the preceding, seeing that the above archdeaconry is void by the above obtaining [of the rectory], and that the above rectory is still void by the above death, to collate and assign to the above Thady Mac[c]onmara, after he has duly resigned them, the said archdeaconry and rectory, value not exceeding 30 and 24 marks sterling respectively; with dispensation to Thady hereby to receive and hold them together for life, notwithstanding the above defect etc. Vite etc. (Chri. and Ja. Petri. | Chri. xl. Octavo Kal. Augusti Anno Terciodecimo. Coronen.) [3½ pp.]
