	1,230 I. Commissioners of Customs to Lords of the Treasury, 13 Nov., 1690. We duly circulated the Order for an embargo on the 18th of September and have no reason to believe that any ships have cleared, without permission, since the order. A few ships have broken away, as we have already informed you, but we shall be more particular hereafter that such offenders shall be punished. The lists required of us have been furnished. In obedience to the Order in Council of yesterday we report that it has been usual for the convoys to search the merchant-ships to see how many seamen they carry, but this proved ineffectual last year, when the number of ships was large. Nov. 29. Admiralty.	1,241. Secretary of Admiralty to William Blathwayt. The Navy Board had directions to take up shipping to transport the recruits of the Duke of Bolton's regiment to the West Indies, and I presume that they reported their proceedings, Nov. 22.
