Warrant to the Earl of Rothes, Treasurer Principal of Scotland, after reciting that by an Act of Parliament of that kingdom an imposition of 8d. was paid on each beast brought out of Scotland into England for one year from 1 Aug., 1662, to 1 Aug., 1663, for raising 500l. sterling for William Livingstone of Dunduff in Scotland, the surplus to be accounted for to the Crown, and a grant of the said surplus to Sir Charles Howard, for payment thereof to William Christian and George Williamson for the use of the said Sir Charles Howard.
