June 7. 1. Wm. Wynter, not signed, to Lord Adm. Clynton. Forwards a letter from the Earl of Warwich, and denies having made the Earl any promise to send him six-score mariners to Newhaven for manning two pinnaces.
June 10. 2. List of gunners to be sent from Berwick, Harwich, and Carlisle, to Newhaven.

3. The Queen to the Lord Lieutenant of Berks. To raise a certain number of men in the county forthwith, provided with corslets, at the least charge to the county.
June 24. 4. Another list of gunners to be sent from Carlisle and Berwick to Newhaven.
June 25. 5. Statement of the numbers of men appointed to be levied in several counties of England, for service at Newhaven.

6. Philip Strelley, Arthur Higham, and others, Captains of the Norfolk and Suffolk levies, to the Council. Arrived off Dover, and the fleet scattered in a great tempest. Want provisions.

7. E. Dryver to Lord Robert Duddeley. Embarked with the Norfolk levies, and met at Harwich the soldiers from Suffolk. A great tempest has dispersed the fleet.
June 28. 8. Petition of Arthur Golding, uncle of Edw. Earl of Oxford and Lady Mary his sister, for staying a suit begun against the said Earl and Lady Mary by Catherine, wife of Sir Edward Windsor; the said Earl being a minor, and the Queen's ward. Lat.
June 29. 9. Return, by Lord Mordaunt and Justices of Essex, of the rates and assessments of 1,000 men, to be levied within that county; and stating the principle on which the same had been made.
June 30. 10. The Council to Lord Rich. Directing him to carry into effect the principle laid down by Lord Mordaunt and other Justices of Essex, in the levying 1,000 soldiers in thatcounty.

11. Sir Adrian Ponynges to Sir Wm. Cecill. Has sent to Rye to Mr. Darell to gain intelligence of the ships dispersed in the late storm. A ship of London, laden with beer, run ashore near the Camber.
June 30. 12. Anthony Anthony to same. Two ships have been laden with the Queen's stores for Newhaven. Requests an advance of 200l.

13. The Queen to John Newdigate. Directs him, as trustee of the late Thomas Wilks, to convey two houses and gardens to William Wilks, brother of the deceased.
