Desiring him—that all hearts may be won to love and honour him—to remove those impediments which heretofore he has conceived to be furtherances. Does not wish him to deliver any from restraint or disgrace for profit to himself, but that they may account his honour the author of their lives and liberties, and other strangers be informed that he is gracious. Never knew Dr. Bagshaw, now imprisoned, but for his abilities and the many injuries he has received of companions, thinks he may be commodiously employed. Asks that letters to D.P. or himself may be subscribed to Mr. William Luson, at the sign of the Elephant, Rue de St. Jacques.—18 June, 1586, Paris.

June 21. The Same to the Same.
Has received his of the 4th, having been in Paris to dispatch some matter which his honour insinuated to Gil[bert] to be necessary.
