November 1555

250. “News from Flanders and England” (Extract from an account of the Emperor's abdication of the sovereignty of the Low Countries, and of the Duke of Savoy's appointment as Lieutenant General of Flanders)
London, 8 November England is quiet. The heretics are being brought to justice. Two bishops have been burnt as sacramentarians, after the preaching of many learned doctors had failed to persuade them to return to the truth. Parliament is continuing its labours. It seems it will do what the King and Queen have put forward. There is nothing else to report.
Unsigned. Spanish.
