July 28 Warrant by the Lords Justices to William Stuart, Paymaster of pensions. To retain an allowance, hitherto usually made by the Crown as a matter of grace, of 6d. in the £ on all payments on pensions or charities at the Exchequer, under 30l., for which no deduction of poundage was demanded or taken, from the commencement of his paymastership to 1740, Xmas: said allowance by the establishment of pensions being only demandable on pensions of 30l. and upwards.
