July 24 Warrant by the Treasury Lords to the officers of the Receipt, concerned, to execute the royal letters patent of the 16th instant for the cancelling, &c. of the tallies of assignation for 12,700l. levied at the Exchequer by Mathew Lock, assignee of Lord General Monck, and for vacating the records of said tallies so that said sum be not brought in charge against General Monck. July 25 The Treasury Lords to Sir Edmond Sawyer, one of the Auditors of Crown revenues, for a particular of the coppices in Lillingstone Dayrell, co. Bucks. which are in charge, "before your certifying what you think fit to be considered in point of value or otherwise in granting thereof by lease for his Majesty's service." Ibid, p. 23.
Sir P. Warwick to Sir Charles Harbord, Surveyor General of Lands, to hasten the survey of the honor and manor of Grafton with a view to Lord Langdale's petition herewith transmitted. Ibid, p. 22.
July 31 The Treasury Lords (through Sir Philip Warwick) to said Sir Charles Harbord, for a more particular view of the 10,000 acres in the Fens on which he had put a valuation of 2,500l. per an. clear, in his account of the state of the fens as His Majesty is interested in them: said valuation being made with some uncertainty. "as not having seen these lands for the last 20 years or more." Ibid, p. 36.
